Just started trading BTC/USD in the BTC-E mt4 platform. Was wondering anyone else has been trading using it.

I tried, the problem is there's no reason not to believe MT4 is a scam at this point.  I deposited 500 USD into metatrader to start, when I tried to withdraw it just disappeared.  I opened a ticket about 3 weeks ago and not only have I gotten no response they keep closing the ticket and claiming it is "resolved".  If you look at the comments on the Metatrader announcement on the News section of the BTCe page this has apparently been a pretty common problem.

Sorry to hear that dude. I just started trading in MT4 a few days back. I did open a couple of tickets but I got prompt replies on mine. Not sure if they are just avoiding the tickets about missing funds?

I traded on MT4 of BTC-E, I believe I was one of the biggest traders on their MT4 and during one of the btc drops I felt it was manipulated. Anyway I lost $35k, but didn't give up, continued to trade, recovered, made extra 10k and closed my MT4 account, transferred all my cash int BTC. As far as I had the feelings that it was manipulated I'm a bit afraid... Anyway, MT4 is very useful if you want Technical Analysis, so I continue to use it for TA.

how was it manipulated? did prices on the mt4 differ from the price displayed on btc-e website?

Could someone explain this? Im trading with BTC-E's MT4 on a real account with a test amount of money ($10) and using leverage 1:3

I have a total balance of $10
I lose a trade and it is down 150 pips at -$0.15 profit (after BTC-E's fee is taken into account)
I close off the trade I now have $9.85 (and it is, their loses always show accurately)

I have a total balance of $10
I win a trade and it is up 150 pips at $0.15 profit (after BTC-E's fee is taken into account)
I close off the trade
My total should be $10.15 (it shows this under profit) but Im finding the balance is showing as $10.05.

What gives?!?

Ive traded forex for years - and I cant seem to explain this. Other fiat currency exchanges Ive dealt with (leverage 1:50 or 1:200 etc)  would show the correct balance $10.15 when Ive won... Whats going on here? How can you trade on a system where the loses are 3 times the amount you profit on, when you win or lose the same number of pips either side.

How much is 1 pip in your eyes? If you try to use all your $10, you can buy for $30 (1:3 leverage). Thats at the momentarily price ($550) 0.05 Bitcoin. You have to pay a trading fee of 0.25% for open and closing (so 0.5% all together), thats 15 Cent Commission.

So if the price goes down to $544,5 (-1%) you have to pay the 15 Cent Commission and 30 Cent loss of Value.
Over all your balance then is at $10 -$0.15 -$0.30 = $9.55
You lost 45 Cent

If the price goes up to 555,5 (+1%) you also have to pay the 15 Cent Comission but get 30 Cent for the higher Value.
Over all your balance then is at $10 -$0.15 +$0.30 = $10.15
You earned only 15 Cent

It looks like you are overseeing something on one of the trades. Thats your turn to find out. With 150 pips = $0.15 you are not always winning/losing only that.
