I think poker should have it own sub-forum. It is a growing culture in bitcoin and could use it is own sub-forum for all the new sites.
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Mayhaps a tad more general? Card Based Gambling games, and Table Based games in two different sections?

So Blackjack, Poker, etc in one section, and Roulettes and Dices in the other section? And then there would also need to be something for those that don't fit within those two categories.

It might neaten it up, but perhaps adding childboards to a childboard will cause more disorder than not.

Card based gambling could be good. I honestly think poker is a lot more strategy than luck and should be separated from the dice games and just no skill gambling games.

I agree, Poker is it's own unique thing in the world of cards.

There could be a card room, dice room, and a poker room.

Are you saying in general? Or in the gambling forum because there is only one sub forum. Right now 2 for and 1 against, maybe some more people can weigh in? Should I post it to the gambling thread incase they don't read the meta forum?

What's peoples favorite poker bitcoin site? I used to go crazy on full tilt before it got shut down and I just cannot get back into the game on free to play sites, the mentality of those involved is just too casual and it ruins the game and atmosphere or me. I'd love to start playing for something of value again.

Sealswithclubs.eu has the most players by a large margin, but I am currently building a site so you probably want to be on the look out for that Wink

gambling in BTC is perfect for you, you get the poker bankroll swings and your whole bankroll value depends
on the BTC price movement Cheesy

I'm a long time twoplustwo and allvegaspoker poster.

I'd definitely be active in it were there a poker subforum. As it is the gambling subforum is almost exclusively threads for all the gambling sites and very little actual gambling related talk(strategy, statistics, etc).

I think we need a lot more people to convince either SaltySpitoon (if he has that power, IDK) or theymos.

Well, as it would be nice for me or you, we indeed don't want to risk adding to the clutter of the gambling section. I'm with SaltySpitoon on this one.
But I'm sure there might be a good way to organise everything.

Maybe 2 childboards like: Card Games and Casino(possibly HYIP too, as the current Gambling section includes that as well).

Card Games and Casino pretty much sum up most of the gambling industry, making it easier to place a site in either section as well.

All the games that aren't poker are casino games anyway. Poker and Casino games. Blackjack, Baccarat, etc don't belong with poker. Pretty much all gambling games other than poker(Dice, blackjack, etc) fall under casino games. With the exception of sports betting.

There are other games that could go in with poker(Gin and Backgammon come to mind), but no one plays those other skill gambling games online so its a moot point.

theymos or John K will have to do it, moderators can't create new boards.

Would make sense. Poker is usually considered disparate from other forms of gambling as it involves a skill element. So the community for poker differs a lot from that of other gambling games (ie in the level of understanding of odds and statistics if anything...).
