Hello all,
 
   I know this idea is nothing new but I'm working on a new application to let users bet their bits on future predictions.  Looking for fresh ideas!  Thanks and excited to join the community here.  http://www.betyourbits.com

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Interesting concept. Could you add more bets with shorter terms? I doubt anyone wants to wait a whole year.

Another idea is to let users create bets themselves, and then take a cut of the pool.

Yes, this is great idea as well.  Split the fee with user, will give them incentive to spread the word!

That sounds like an interesting idea.  What kind of questions would you like to see asked?
I would like to work on development of a polymorphic altcoin that maintains a stable value and is more resistant to fraud.
