If DOGE were completely lost then I guess it would have been dumped to oblivion already. Although it doesn't look like it right now, things can turn around pretty quickly.

You underestimate the power of DOGE! Tho srsly you put that graph price for doge compared to btc, but look at the price compared to fiat currencies such as UER or USD or CNY price is a lets say okay also we need to take into consideration of the infinite inflation that DOGE has. It may not be popular coin but who knows it could start to jump upwards like crazy as we have seen around may-june this year so I can't say that we should leave it as coin where we can't take profit. Some merchants and gambling website even accept it as it is a bit older crypto that had its own hype when it started. But don't lose faith in DOGE . Although yea for it to be like 1$ is hardly posible specialy at this point, they will need huge hype for that and also major acceptance.

Fingers crossed, DOGE always seems to follow a nice pattern, I suspect the massive sell wall will drop at some point with a lot of noise and the pump will commence at that point. Question is when???

Devs need to be convinced to Add RSK(Smartcontracts) and lightining network(Unsure of Segwit) functionality to the dogecoin blockchain(just like BTC and LTC are doing atm). I believe then DOGE will skyrocket both in Usage and in price.

Question is how many developers are currently involved to make it happen in a reasonable time frame? DOGE needs more active development

at the moment, no dev, they have all canceled their participation to DOGE. You can also find a youtube video with the creator of DOGE saying that he will never continue dev DOGE. make a search on youtube

That would be ok if someone took over, but nobody seems to want to do it, so Doge is just a meme unfortunately. I quite liked the coin, but it doesn't really offer anything anymore in face of all the competition.

And it's perhaps impossible to change what once made it so strong in a trustworthy way. As you said it is just a meme and it is like a stigma and nobody would really believe DOGE could compete with the big ones on a technical level. And ultimately, that is the truth for now (and might remain forever).

A meme competing on a technical level would be some next level meme though. Sure it would be difficult to pull that off, but I would really enjoy seeing it done.

Absolutely! Problem is we would need people (actually super skilled people) think the same way as you and me. And for them there are a lot of other opportunities where there is money to be made. This community would need to gather a good amount of funds to attract devs.

I wish I had the reputation to round up funds and look for strong developers and marketing teams. Aren't there any prominent oldschool shibes around to tackle this task?

With all the lack in development and interest in DOGE it is impressive that this is still a $130 million coin. I mean I am sure it is well distributed but there must be some whales with a huge interest in further development. Where are they?

Traders would trade anything as long as it can be converted into money. It doesn't matter if it's coins minted from fecal matter or gold or even monopoly money.

Well, as long as it can be converted into more money than they invested I would say. So some do obviously still believe in DOGE.

I think he means that there is not much volatility in the coin and that he put in an order for 12 sat - and was somehow surprised that it wasn't filled.

A good idea would be to check the history of the coin - it never went below 15 sat before - so a successful buy at 12 would be very fortunate, I was delighted to buy at 15 a few weeks ago - the buy support is pretty high so wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see a price of 15 again during this bout, price has already bottomed out - unless BTC surges to $10k - 18 is still a good price IMO.

Remove the free cash party at BTC , bring and extra 500bln of crypto market cap, imagine dozens of crypto investisment funds which will somehow also include Doge in theirs diversified package and you have you 20 bln market cap, well likely no 1$ but +/-10 cents well possible in 1 to 2 years .

* What we should not forget is the reputation of the old well established coins vs the newly created come and go projects.
