Although he's done many things, Alex Winter is probably best known for being Bill S. Preston, Esq. in the Bill & Ted movies.
Currently, he's a documentary filmmaker and a techie. His previous movie,
Downloaded, about the rise and fall of Napster, and the new file sharing technology, was really really good. And he's now making a documentary called
Deep Web: The Untold Story of Bitcoin and The Silk Road.
Even if you don't want Bitcoin and SR linked together, you can be sure this doc will be really good and really well done, and fair to bitcoin. He's a bitcoin supporter, and even if you don't want to donate to the kickstarter, he takes
bitcoin donations via coinbase. (Link found on the
