Is it just me or has this new digital currency brought out the "man with a can" looking for a handout onto the web. By lurking on this forum for the past couple of days it's quite apparent to me that Bitcoin is going to revolutionize the way people beg.

Like with anything else, this could easily be a really beautiful thing or food for trolls. It'll be both, but hopefully more of the former.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. There has got to be at least 20 threads PER day about how someone lost their BTC / is dying / needs money for hospital bills etc and is looking for hands out. Not to mention that their accounts are brand new as well.

lmao

You can not forbid people to beg.
But you are free to give them, or not ...

We live in free countries.

This is true but I think you're wrong in suggesting that anyone is trying to "forbid" anyone to do anything.
Some of us do live in "free countries".. I agree to some extent, but some of us do not.
I'm just merely pointing out the fact that when Bitcoin becomes a major currency one day, that really long strings are going to become the new age "can"

Yes I agree with you on that.
