Thanks a lot, that is a very useful site.

For the first time I have been able to evaluate mining hardware properly in financial terms, and it looks like investing particularly in the smaller devices isn't worth it except for a hobby interest.

Interesting that there are a few options to really make some money, as long as the Bitcoin keeps it's value reasonably well Smiley

Well the price should fall to reflect that, otherwise the prospects for profit will be much reduced.

It is an arms race.

One more thing I want to say. If you can, pay with FIAT. That way you have a chance of ROI. Lets say you pay $1000 on a mining rig, and get 0.2 from it. Then bitcoin slowly makes its way up to $10,000. You just made $1000. This isnt 100% sure but it might happen!

The price reflect that, but no one can guarantee delivery dates. Look at BFL example, they shipped 8 months later than promised

You would think, difficulty went up and prices went up. Granted the btc price jumped to 1K, but the difficulty was so high that if you wanted to mine you had no choice but to buy more hardware, ergo, price hike.
