I really hope so but right now it doesn't look like it at all. I think an anonymous crypto currency may replace bitcoin at some point.

Bitcoin could reach that figure one day. It's how you define one day which is the issue. As a single bitcoin reaching $10,000? Yes i think so. However don't think you maybe come rich on it. There are other people out there which can turn the lights off if they wish.

i think that bitcoin has two possibilities in two years roadmap:

a) value near around 3000-7000$
b) value between 0 and 100$

..and what will be? nobody knows

Unfortunately, seeing how bad reputation banks are trying to give to Bitcoin, I doubt the price will be high any longer. Hopefully I will be wrong and some day we will all be in some tropical island having our riches party.

Don't need to wait for long time.

Bitcoins are highly volatile.

It may reach 10,000 soon, but will not be stable at all.

The market is unpredictable and has huge potential. Unless something extreme doesn't happen like Whole world banning BTC. It is likely to reach that Amount. But time cannot surely be predicted. It can even go next year who knows ? or Might not go for next 10 years also. So all in all it can go to 10k but cannot be predicted when.

End of January 2014. Geek time has passed, many smart and clever people are now joining in, early adoption phase starts. Things are going to develop very quickly now.
Recent correction was not a crash, it was just a (fair) reflection of current market situation in China, but that was not a disaster. There are many legal uses for Bitcoin (including in China), and every smart person understand that.
