Ok, here is what i am looking for, and why.

Being mainly custom hardware and not heavy in the market, from what i can find nobody besides Bitcoinrigs.org has a chassis system to mount all that hardware to in order to make it more rigid, and structurally sound. I have a brother that lives in California who owns a fabrication shop and was talking with him about making me something in the $30 price range for making the backplane and blade setup more rigid, easy to move if needed. and well vented but encased as well.

My problem.

Although i have several of these rigs, i am the worst at making technical drawings of things and getting measurements and design specs. What he has asked for from me is a scale drawing of the backplane ( where the grommets are, the location of each of the plugs where the blades slide in where the PSU plugs ) and a scale drawing of where the blade itself, mainly for its size and where the two tiny holes are on the side where it could be mounted to, then a drawing of the overall height of the unit assembled and how far the blades are above the backplane etc.

What i am offering.

If you have one of these units, and are good at making technical drawings. and can do this for me, i will send you a few of the finished chassis systems when i have him make them. He said that the $30 price range each is easily doable as he gets very cheap materials from buying in the quantity he does, they contract manufacture server frames and rack mounts. so its worth a hundred dollars to me to see if i can get these technical drawings to him.

Also, if i can get this done, i would be happy to front the cost to have a few hundred of these made and shipped to me, and would offer them out for sale at cost to the community for all of you who are stuck with PVC pipe frames, or blades laying loose on tables. These will be for the V2 blade and backplane systems only.

Please contact me if you can make these technical drawings and send them to me, i would also like to get an address of where i can ship a few to you for helping me/us out.

Thank You.

No, i said that i already knew those existed, and he is not able to sell any more if you read the OP. I am looking to have something designed that is available in the $30 price range for everyone, and is not in limited supply. I am not looking to buy another design. i am looking to make a new design that is more customizable and scalable so as technology unfolds you dont have to buy new cases.

Offer still stands for anyone who can provide technical drawings.

Have you contacted him and asked him if he can forward you his technical drawings for the boards and backplane? Rich is a nice guy to deal with, my case will be here Thursday.

Also, bitcoinrigs is just reselling them. $90 straight from Rich, $110 from them.

I dont think rich has technical drawings. the X channel aluminum he uses is easy to adjust, i am sure he just built the case around an actual board, dont think there was a need for him to make the drawings. but i will check none the less.
