E-Mails for the future of Bitcoin

I know it doesn't seem like it but a single email can make a big difference if an idea is presented with eloquence

I propose we band together to form a loose knit organization based here in this thread and what we will do is send emails to different companies to ask them to start accepting bitcoin. If we can get to be 100-1000 strong then we can really start changing things.

Just like when moms come together about things and write letters but we aren't asking anyone to drop a product, we are asking them to start earning more money. And if people on Bitcointalk won't do this... Who will?

I think companies will only accept Bitcoin if their payment gateways give them the tools (or the software and sometimes hardware) to do so.

There are 10's of thousands of retailers on Shopify. They can now accept Bitcoin. Targeting one company rather than a thousand can be much more effective.

Maybe we could find a list of Payment Gateways and eCommerce software companies?

If the big companies do not accept it right away, we  old try to contact companies that are big on national level (in a relatively small country) but not so big on international or intercontinental level. Such as a big supermarket chain in Germany or Japan or some other country.

If we have at least 1 native German speaker for example, he can write a letter in German about bitcoin, and we can just all send that letter to the company, it doesn't really matter if we don't speak German as long as we can trust the native speaker makes a good pitch in his home language.

If we are going to limit ourselves by thinking that the board members of these companies aren't as progressive and entrepreneurial as us... Then why aren't we starting a Bitazon? and BitBay?

Let's get it done if we are that much better than them at perceiving market gains why aren't we capitalist giants yet? I'd say we start with emailing these people so that they can have more perspective on what is going on. I am sure they are better at this than we are so let's pull them in.

isn't there a payment processor than instantly liquidates a coin for a merchant to USD to prevent this scenario ? bit pay takes care of that i believe.

Coinbase does it too, you can autosell every evening. But it doesn't take into account the fluctuation throughout the day.

Agreed, it will take tons of emails for them to actually care But one vote can make a difference and more so when you get to add a personal message

Here is the Comedy Central programming contact. If we go through and pick "Tosh.0" and say "Why can't I buy Tosh shirts with Bitcoins?!?!" and "Why can't I but a Daily Show Beer Koozie with my coin!!!" eventually they would start accepting them.

Then say the Tosh.0 store started accepting coins he would say on TV "Go buy things at our online shop which in now accepting Bitcoin" at the end of an episode.

We need as many people that can speak English as possible I know other languages matter but if we want to get media outlets to mention the companies we get then we should focus on the western world at first Not completely just mostly at first
