^^ She's right about that. There've been so many 6990 scams on this board, I doubt anybody will want to touch another one, no matter how legit your ad is. You're better off just trying to sell them on CL or eBay.

Sarcastic and rude replies probably isn't the best way to find customers here. I'm not sure if this guy just read Mouse's reply the wrong way or if he's just an Rtard to begin with, but her answer was pretty much spot on.

last time i tried to buy some 6990s, i lost over $800, where a guy was selling a few 6990 and couldn't provide any transaction feedback and was also a new member. i think after that event and thread i started, i noticed all potential buyers on here started demanding proof of ownership of the items or prior transaction feedbacks. to anyone interested in these 6990s in this thread, the seller did say he was willing to take paypal, so just pay with your credit card through paypal and you're safe for the most part. OP, in case you decide not to take anyone's advice on here, then you're probably better off just trying to sell it locally in person. you can refer to these threads regarding different people using 6990s to scam: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=29636.0https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=29710.0

it sounded like a smart ass sarcastic comment cause i shot down her escrow proposal. in other words......
ya sure, dont do escrow with me. stick with trying to sell them locally. your going to sit on them forever that way. (stupid nub)
We seriously do need a sarcasm punctuation mark. I can see how you would take it that way, but in my opinion, I think she was being honest, not sarcastic. I even agree - you probably would have better luck selling them locally through craigslist or something, than selling them through the forum with no previous trade reputation.

i understand your concern. im not sure what else to say. my buddy got them for gaming but ran in to financial problems. i gave him some cash and he gave me these cards. i would keep them but $800 each sounds better.
Your friend used two 6990s for gaming??

Whats wrong with using 2 x 6990 for gaming?
Anyway, Just trying to place myself in your friends shoes for a moment, Lets see he buys 2 brand new 6990 and takes them home for gaming, he gets home and decides he is in finicial debt before even opening the boxes? they are still sealed and decides to call you to buy them from him, You are a new member to the forum, indicating your not a miner or have'nt had much dealing with bitcoins, Why come to a bitcoin forum when gaming was the actual topic of your friends problem, Assuming you haven't much bitcoin experience that you would try to sell these to a gamer on a gaming forum. Im not 100% sure anyone would buy something for gaming and never even try it out, leaving the original product sealed before he decided he was broke, Now the fact is that if decided he was broke BEFORE even opening the boxed, wouldn't it have been easyer to just return the cards to the shop for a refund, considering they are still sealed?
I dont know about your story, they could be stolen cards because it makes no logical sence your friend didn't atleast try out one of the cards(this would make it feasiable to sell them public as now they are a second hand) or at the very least return them in there sealed condition back to the shop he got them from...

As a reminder, the moderation team will not protect you from scams/scammers. We can only react after the fact. That being said, this is almost certainly a scam. I would advise you not to send Bitcoins, under any circumstance.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it. There was never anything there in the first place.
