Marketing, being fueled by advances in technology, is rapidly changing, especially in such technology-based spheres as blockchain and ICOs. We decided to take an informed guess in order to detect trends that will continue to grow in the future.

1) The visual

Great visual presentation seems to be something that will never be out of vogue, and this fact is relatively easy to explain. Every man and his dog knows that people respond to visual information much better than they do to plain text, so it comes as no surprise that content with visuals gets 94% more views. Therefore, creating a pleasant and transparent design is an essential step towards running a successful marketing campaign. Blog entries without pictures, tweets without infographics, white papers without charts and tables, ICO announcements on Bitcointalk without clear illustrations, all this simply won’t work. Visual content as well as visually-based media have long been and will remain the pivotal form of digital marketing. Or, to put that in the form of a famous meme:"Who are we? Users! What do we want? Visual aids!"

P. S.: To learn more about promoting your thread on Bitcointalk, read our article 5 Ways to Promote Your Bitcointalk Thread https://medium.com/assetrush/5-easy-ways-to-promote-your-bitcointalk-thread-9727b4505e9a.

2) The Interactive

Pictures are necessary, but not sufficient. Nowadays, rapidly advancing technology allows you to create new types of visual content that are way more appealing to users than ordinary pictures and even infographics. GIFs and videos, while hardly being new at this point, are still widely used. But what is already visible on the horizon, and rapidly approaching, are new media as live videos, ephemeral content, and augmented and virtual reality. Digital marketing managers have already started to implement them, and are only going to do so more and more for the foreseeable future: it is expected that the use of live videos and AR and VR will increase 15-fold and 20-fold, respectively, by 2021.

3) Artificial Intelligence

While it’s still in its preliminary stages, Artificial Intelligence has already been used in cryptocurrency marketing for a variety of purposes, from chatbots to ad targeting to predictive analytics. It is not crystal clear how exactly things will be developing in the future, but what we know full well is that no other marketing technology is expected to show such impressive year-over-year growth as AI.

4) Roadshows

It may seem that everything has gone completely digital, but no, not yet. Real-life encounters still play a crucial role when promoting your product, and for this reason, roadshows occupy their niche and remain a great way to present your ICO, attract investors, and interact face-to-face with other members of the crypto community. Also, they allow you to get some valuable and immediate feedback, which otherwise you may never obtain.

5) Community Management

Sound online community management is an important part of any marketing campaign. This is especially true for blockchain projects, and this trend is unlikely to halt in the future. As Jenny Goldberg said in her interview https://hackernoon.com/community-management-an-exclusive-interview-with-jenny-goldberg-f04e52b94b82, community is one of the three main components of any crypto project. Managing channels like Telegram, Bitcointalk, Reddit, and Medium and nurturing an active community there, is the key to the success of your project whether now or in the future.

FINAL THOUGHTS

What conclusions can be drawn? Well, it seems that whatever new cutting-edge technologies marketing, particularly in the sphere of ICOs, will be adopting, the ultimate goal will be the same: create engaging content that will allow you to quickly build personal rapport with users.

At AssetRush https://assetrush.com/ we stay at the cutting-edge of token marketing, so be sure to reach out to us to get some professional assistance.

It's good to see that community management is listed there, and finally being recognized as one of the key elements of successful ICO marketing. Crypto communities are vastly different from the communities and shareholders of traditional companies and organizations. They are much more informed, tech savvy, and often have experienced and knowledgeable people so can be very quick to question, criticize and discuss ICO projects. Ensuring that these communities and their expectations are well managed is crucial!

One thing that traditional marketing continues to ignore is how much it has to catch up with modern trends regarding consumers. Users and communities now want to be involved, engaged, and be part of the value growth of the company/brand/project.

I think this is a really important point in marketing now. Users want to have a more meaningful connection to the projects. When I first joined an ICO last year, I was very excited when everyone seemed to be interested and answering questions. But as soon as the ICO ended, the developers stopped responding and even got very rude to investors, saying they can leave and sell their tokens if they wish. I felt very disappointed, because a lot of the questions people asked were valid, and they were just unhappy that they were ignored and promises were not kept.

I think ICOs must see beyond their ICO and still maintain and even grow their communities after funds are raised.

In my opinion community management is even the most important factor in ICO marketing campaign. The crypto community is experienced and professional, and the field of cryptocurrencies and ICOs is still very new to outsiders. The most influence have the professionalism of the ICO team and the impression that it leaves on the community. The ability to maintain professional ongoing discussion on the project and being able to address the toughest questions can show much higher potential for the ICO success.

Even forum members does not aware of the ICO investment clearly so far. Crypto community members needs to make their fund on good ICO project and make some money of that. I see some people concentrating on translation projects and getting big amount of tokens for it to manage the regional thread.

I see when investing on ICO project, what is the project is about, then how better their road map and project inprogess.
If all these good I would go to invest on that ICO project.

All of the above mentioned are important specially community management both online and offline marketing promotions are needed to be able to inform the public what is their main projects are and progress. It is important to us investors to know more about their company and upcoming events and projects if it is utility tokens it should have a partnership with other companies and merchants, for the tokens to circulate not only in trading platforms but it cam be used to buy products and services so the value will be greater in the near future.

Thanks! I also think that advertisement by asking professional bloggers to say their opinions on your project on different blogs and youtube channels is also a good tool, as it helps to attract the audience

Not all the times for it to be effective nor to be profitable on ICO investment when you are just basing on their roadmap and progress.Even some projects
do succeed on getting their funding but not all of them do succeed and mostly do fail up in the middle and leaving their investors hanging and thats why i dont
easily trust up anymore to put up funds with these projects. There are lots of things to consider before putting up but even the potential ones doesnt give out a guarantee.

A lot of people claim they do community management but actually what most people only do is moderation and customer support. Meaning to say yes, they do monitor and interact with all the community channels, whether Telegram or even here on bitcointalk. But see the quality of interaction. They are just deleting spam, telling people scripted answers, and sometimes not even responding well. That's just moderation and customer support.

Community management is about growing the community interest, getting them more interested in deeper discussion, etc. No

I accept. I am sure every new legit ICOs do follow it but is there consistency? At time when ICO sales do not bring expected income, ICOs tend to close down their project giving back the invested money back.  And they should come up with good product. Thats what wills speak out.

Although crypto currencies are identical to technology and digital money, roadshows are very important because some people can only trust you if they are face to face.
therefore, to convince investors with such character, the Roadshow is indeed an important factor in the success of an ICO project.
