Hey guys !! I'm thinking of setting up an online wallet backup service. Everything will be open source run from open source software. I'm still plotting my master plan but for now I wanted to get my hardware strait. I've setup a little test network at home and would like people to test VPN access. Below is a diagram of what I've got setup here.

If you want to trial the IP is http://94.196.173.58

Cheers !!

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

As an end-user, we would have to VPN to use the service?

as has been shown a few times, bitcoin banks dont work so well unless the trust is already there. mybitcoin was essentially a bank, look what happened. People have been burned, they probably wont trust again soon.

Also, there is a difficulty in fractional reserve loans since bitcoins cannot be credited or duplicated, a bank wouldn't be able to make money easily, nor pay interest easily.

ZOMG Moo!

Yes that was the idea. To run a VPS for customers too that they can use to access their account information and control their account. Sorry the firewall wasn't set properly. If you want to test the VPS send me a PM and I'll get you keys sent across.

Here's a quick brainstorm of what I hope to achieve.
