Hey everybody,

I recently launched http://www.coinpatrol.com, a bitcoin price alert service that sends notifications when bitcoin prices change via text/SMS and email.

It currently works with USD and bitcoin only, but I plan on adding additional fiat currencies (Euro/Yuan/GBP coming soon!) and additional altcoin support (Litecoin!)

The following exchanges are supported, and more are on the way:
1. MtGox
2. Bitstamp
3. Btc-e
4. Coinbase

You can set 2 alert types:
1. Fixed price - ex. "Alert me when the price of bitcoin on MtGox goes above $1200.00"
2. Variable price - ex. "Alert me when the price of bitcoin on MtGox decreases by 20% in 1 hour"

Check it out and let me know if there are any features that you guys would like to see.

Thanks!

Do you have a setting where you send us the current price (of coinbase ONLY) every x minutes?

SMS texting setups are pricey per txt in many cases, that would cost a small fortune over a year, but could be done if paid for.
Just get a ticker app.

Sounds like a great idea, though I am afraid of mass texts/notifications because of how volatile bitcoin prices are.

This gives me an idea. I might do something like this but with texting.

Agreed, I get annoyed when my inbox gets spammed with crap too often. There's a nice free desktop gadget for Win7 that serves the same purpose and works well (when you're at the computer anyway): http://domchi.cc/mybitcoins/

Not to steal your thunder or anything, coinpatrol. Smiley It's a good looking site! Maybe eventually a smartphone app to go with it that can send push notifications rather than texts?
