Ethereum was supposed to switch from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake somewhere this year if im not mistaken. Since taking care of a bunch of altcoin projects it's insane and studying Bitcoin is already time consuming enough for me... can anyone update me on what is going on with Ethereum and when can we expect the PoW to PoS switch?

How are miners going to react to this? Will we have a split situation in which current Ethereum miners start their own faction by mining the legacy chaing and keeping an ETH-PoW altcoin alive while the rest go ETH-PoS? (which would be a bit of a clusterfuck by the way)

How are markets going to react to this possibility?
