Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Hopefully children will learn from his mistakes.  Need to understand to diversify..at least he didn't lose it all gambling against the Harlem Globetrotters.

I made the mistake of going full fiat when I started mining.

Then I made the mistake of going full Bitcoin. I was heartbroken at the amount of alts I dumped for cheap, that would have made me tens of thousands of dollars today. Ohh well, lesson learned.

Now I am diversified across the board with Bitcoin and Altcoins.

Never go full fiat, never go full Bitcoin.
