I was thinking of trying to mining some datacoins. I know the difficulty is quite hhigh now so people might recommend that I do not, but I am more interested in the following: what do people think is the potential of Datacoin?

same things people were saying about litecoin which actually have none usability at all while datacoin seems to at least have a purpose


Edit: The coin doesnt have a pool yet which makes it difficult to mine. When pool comes out these days is going to be the most profitable one for a while...

A good rule of thumb is not to put all your eggs in one basket.  if you think Datacoin has good reason to succeed then gamble as much as you feel is a smart buy.  I would take caution on an unknown coin, and I haven't heard a lot about datacoin IMO than can be a good thing or a bad thing.
