Update: with "cgminer --scrypt", although it displays nothing, it is still running
However, I only get a Hashrate between 10 and 13 kh/s
According to this page
https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparisonmy AMD Radeon HD 7670M should give me 81 kh/s
What else am I missing here?
It is a switchable graphics laptop, and I configured cgminer to use the Radeon.
At the very least buy yourself a laptop cooler. They're fairly cheap. One of the most common problems with laptop overheating is the soldering on the power connector on the motherboard. Enough heat will break the connection. Your laptop won't be dead, but you'll be facing a hefty bill to get it repaired.
Alternatively you could prop it up vertically and turn it into a radiator.
