I've been mining feathercoin. Been making about 10 a day.
Provided that people start adopting the other currencies, any of them will do good.

Look for Sexcoin, Quarks, Zetacoin and Fastcoin

These coins saw the most % rise in value today.

Boone knows a clear future and path for any alt-coin. Bitcoin is still up in the air ,but it is easily light years ahead of any alt-coin in stability. If you want to invest in alt-coins just know that there is high risk involved and be prepared to lose most if not all of your money. If I was given twenty dollars, I personally would invest in quarkcoin because it is really cheap and has a lot of potential upside ,but of course it is risk just like any other alt-coin.

Maybe the OP should have better defined what he meant by "now"  Cheesy

Bitcoin is a good long-term investment. If you're looking to make quick returns, then look at some of the scrypt coins currently available. Whether or not those coins are worth long-term investments is an entirely different thing. It depends on what you mean by worth, and what you intend to do with them once you buy them.

Bitcoin is indeed rising again to its' previous level, but I think not many will put their full thrust in this coin again.
It already made a big drop last week...and it will most likely happen again.

If you want to make a profit in dollars, then almost any stable altcoin will do. I would currently recommend Litecoin, Namecoin or Primecoin. Peercoin is also one to watch, but in the short term I think it will have less growth than the ones I mentioned.

thanks for your reply, I guess bitcoin is a quite good investment, because of market leadership and first mover advantage.

well but the price is high, the current volatility is a sign that liquidity is high

Everyone will have their speculations. Bitcoin is the defacto now because it broke the cyrptocurrency dilemma. What alt coins, or even coins being worked as cryptocurrency 2.0 such as NXT, is really anyone's guess. Research and find something that works for you. Maybe you get lucky, maybe you don't.

There are tons of coins out there and some may get a reputation and stay a while,

But the safest way for investing is buying btc or ltc.
