Looking for a new logo design for the word "COINDICE". I think the intention of the logo is fairly self explanatory; a dice gambling website.
Looking for something clean, modern and trendy. Easy on the eyes and easy to embed into site design. Blues are good!

The winning logo will receive 0.30BTC.

Would be great to choose a winner in the next 7 days.

The winner's reward is now in Escrow with DannyHamilton: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=366187.msg3926205#msg3926205

Any deadline you are looking into OP?
A month's time should be good enough to see many submissions IMO

No exact deadline, but would be great to have something within a few weeks decided upon.

Yes, if a very trustworthy person would like to offer and spends a lot of time online.

Thanks for the entry, a little too difficult to embed into an easy on the eyes site color scheme. Haven't decided on that color scheme, but black/gray won't work. Blues do tend to be easier on the eyes for long term use.

I just did a minimalistic logo, eye appealing:
Just some glow and inner shadows.
I can do different styles too, but this it came to mind when you said it was for longterm eyesight, since I play for hours I know how it feels like to see the logo somewhere.

How about this one:

I changed the dice to be slightly less sketchy and more slick. Tell me which one you prefer. And also, this logo uses a blue color scheme.

Are you willing to escrow the bounty? Too many OP's around here who don't respond after a few weeks (not saying you are one of them Grin)
Yes, if a very trustworthy person would like to offer and spends a lot of time online.

One of the individuals that has submitted entries has asked me to offer escrow service for this.

Let me know if you are interested in having me provide escrow services, and we can work out the details of how to release escrow under various conditions.

Thought I'd post my analysis thus far taking elements from a few designs that are resonating with me. Taking parts from each making up what I think might be the perfect look for integration into our site.

I particularly like the trendy / clean / modern design along and colors of:

https://i.imgur.com/QRGwM6m.jpg

Instead of being tall, I'd prefer something more like this:

http://wmmusic.nl/bitcoin/contests/coindice/coindice3f.png

And speaking of the dice themselves, I like that dice roll look of this:

Thanks for the entry Kazzy, not a huge fan of embedding the word onto a logo. If its embedded inside the focus of the logo, I'd rather the word be the focus then.

I got an idea but am not an artist.
You should make a dice with the spots being coins.
You said that you do not want text being focused , so you could just make an awesome looking dice.

Here is an image with my superior paint skills , use this as a concept and let a good artist make it Tongue

A lot of talent here. I also do like the idea of doing something with the O in Coin.

Here are some other ideas I had

http://puu.sh/5JsZq.png

I'm not a huge fan of the colourscheme of this one so I might keep messing around with it.

Here is the other Idea

http://puu.sh/5Jt3f.png

I am not sure on the acceptability of using a square image in place of the O for branding. I'll ask a branding consultant friend of mine about that who will help me choose a winner, or if you know of anyone who already uses a square image in the place of an O in a brand logo, let me know. I do want the brand in whatever capacity the image may be used in to automatically reflect a gambling dice site, and I think having a dice has to be involved, though the Bitcoin $ sign does seem interesting from a Bitcoin perspective, but lacks the obvious from afar look that it's a gambling dice site.

ajax3592 and xTeraa are the top 2 right now, although the color scheme as well xTeraa I am not fond of.

Additionally, the reward is now in escrow with DannyHamilton. He will be posting here shortly.

The look is very brandable which I do like a lot. Has a lot of multi purpose use apart from just the logo you see in the corner of the website.
The colors are not terrible, but testing some color schemes probably would be good as I'd like the design and color scheme of the site to be piggybacking off the logo itself and mesh well together.

After some discussions with coindice about various scenarios and concerns, he has agreed to the attached escrow agreement.

The escrow address is funded with 0.30015 BTC as can be seen here:
https://blockchain.info/tx/50a3f76be071ffe147908942df0241cee56a5cf7c6bfe627f7f55247e0960065

The transaction has at least 3 confirmations, and as such I am willing to guarantee the security of the escrow against double-spend, theft, or loss while in my possession. If they are lost or stolen before the end of this contest, I will replace them with my own funds. These funds are held in a paper wallet in a secure location, so they are safe from hacking.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Escrow ID: 201312110845

The escrow address for the contest listed on bitcointalk beginning on 2013-12-10 13:53:45 CST and identified by the URL: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=366187.0 will be:

1JZS9oyathjiPoPmZQnHu7fqTqYdY5A6kx

Please understand that I am doing this as a community service for users of bitcointalk, I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction. As such, if it does not represent a burden to do so, please consider sending a bitcoin gratuity to 1L23TUkrQCJxxnHKTUSTK4djye7PjToZPm (valid for this contest only) after the satisfactory resolution of this contest.

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the bitcoin provider (identified as coindice on bitcointalk.org) and the contest winner.

The escrow holder, Daniel Hamilton (pseudonym DannyHamilton), assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the transaction to the fullest extent he is capable. On the event that any problems arise, he will release the escrow to whichever party presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others at bitcointalk.org.

The conditions of the agreement are as follows:

0.30 Bitcoins will be placed in escrow by the bitcoin provider. The bitcoins will be released from escrow to the contest winner after the bitcoin provider informs the escrow holder that he has chosen a winner. If, 31 days after the funding of the escrow address, the bitcoin provider has not yet informed the escrow holder that he has chosen a winner (including circumstances such as the coindice business or the bitcointalk forum ceasing to exist, or the incapacitation of the bitcoin provider), then the escrow will be donated to the Bitcoin Foundation. If the contest winner fails to provide the requested image files in the required format and resolution, the escrow will be released back to the bitcoin provider.

The sending of bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated and the activation of this contract.

Thank you.

Currently feeling xTerra's black and blue one right now logo wise of course without the Forums part:
Thanks for everyones entries thus far!
Also I don't own all the Coindice domains, so it may be wise to make sure all your images are watermarked here in case someone tries to take them.

Thanks for all the great entries. Remember to watermark if you post. I do not own all coindice domains, and there could be someone out there looking to poach a logo.

Just posting for any future entries, that we are looking for a straight line logo, nothing tall or with an image above coindice and that is clean cut versatile logo that can be used for branding purposes along side being the site logo.

I'm online >15 hours a day here, check my profile stats, etc. so you can easily escrow so we move onto more brain-storming.

To me, the blue in the tshirt sells this logo. It's practically Steve Jobs modern. And a great blue for incorporating in the site itself. I am going to peg this currently as my #1 pick.

Thanks nahtnam  Cheesy  btw it's a vector, you can make a Burj-khalifa-sized BILLBOARD out of it!

OP, about watermark, once you get this this logo you can copyright it (since it is original, exclusive and I've made each part of it from scratch and without inspiration/copying from anywhere) and then it will not be possible for any other brands to use it.

Will be adding a second logo today.

Well if you match it with its blue background (#348eda) then it would look somewhat similar. Anyways it still clicked in my mind. Are these logos' vectors? How much would you charge for a logo?

Yes, I always do my logotype works in vectors; I just use to work in bitmap on illustrations, sketches and photo editing Smiley I'll send you a PM with my portfolio and if you need something we can talk about the price. Thanks a lot for your interest in my work!

Lots of great designs in this thread.

Thought I would try something different. I have different colour variations in these too, but decided to post Black and white / blue first. The colour scheme is easily changed.

CHEATERS! Amazed how everyone is shamelessly copying my designs right from the beginning.  Angry

You have to work for hours to generate a single original design, it hurts to see people stealing your art. An artist's creation is like his baby.
Only if you create an artwork from scratch, will you realize the pain.

It was okay till you all copied the idea of bolding the second word "dice" from me. This guy likehiro just copied the whole design altogether! How cheap you can be. Atleast generate a single logo from your rusted brain to justify the bounty of 0.3BTC Give the OP a chance to choose from many designs.

Great job nahtnam! You'r appreciating the work of a guy that is a shameless copier. likehiro from today you better not call yourself "Graphic designer" but Graphic stealer! Designer is one who uses is own brain to generate creative ideas.

Enough is enough I'm calling my lawyer. I think likehiro is not aware that copyright is applicable when the logo you copied looks optically similar to the original artwork.

Likehiro: I want to sue you for copyright and will charge a lawsuit against you. Please tell me your name, street address and which country are you from.

I hope OP "coindice" will do justice to me and my authentic creations.

Is this for real? Using a dice is not really an awesome original idea that would be just yours (most of the users in this tread used a dice in the designs) and, if you are a designer you should know that a VERY COMMON method to separate 2 words placed near each other is for color contrast or typography weight. Guy, take it easy, if OP considers that I'm copying you I'd understand but you are not in the position to say that because you don't have any rhetoric in your design to call me cheater just for use a dice and a resource used by more than a million of designers every week... I don't want to spam here (too) so if you want to see 10 examples (or more, no problem) PM me and I'll be glad to teach you that you have been copying hundred of designers since you said hello here in this thread.

One more thing... lawyer? sure? This is comic. Have you registered your logotype and isotype? do you know that if you still register it it's only valid in your country? unless you really thought that your design would be the next McDonalds logo and you have done that internationally... but well, you are not the owner of CoinDice so you can call your lawyer and invite him to do a picnic with you, because if I'm doing anything wrong (and I'm not) you can't at least break a glass of my house with a stone.

Ah! my personal information is right here:

If I was not clear enough is because I'm not a good English speaker at all, but if it's not a joke (sorry if I was rude if it was, it's because my language limitation) I think that you are just reading tutorials on internet and trying to be something you are not.

*Off topic end*

Edit: Oh god, you edited your post TWICE... wow, it's not a joke... that's sad. I had the hope that it was just a joke.

Lol, cheater, I've been working as a product photographer and graphic designer for a leading online store from last 2 years. I gave workshops in colleges on Stop-motion animation when I was 19. Go get a life!

Agreed you cannot generate an idea that no one in the world has not thought of before because there have been many great artists in history and there are hundreds of graphic designers in every niche that brainstorm thousands of ideas everyday. Brains of all humans works the same way.

But,

You copied the whole idea of bolding the second word and dice in front, in this contest from me and everyone know's that.

Don't want to talk to you anymore, you don't deserve it. Let OP be the judge.

An artist's creation is like his baby. Only if you create an artwork from scratch, will you realize the pain.

Perfect, any other trouble, just PM me or talk with the OP. I don't need to say what I have done with my life, my customers can talk about me and my works and can affirm that I'm honest and professional. I will not continue with this. This is just drama.

Edit: Wow, we love the edit button, right?
Edit2: Lol, he keeps editing his post more and more times 30 min before.

C'mon show me what you got, I might be weak financially but in my work I'm very strong, I created the designs in this thread with my skills, they are original and it's impossible to prove me wrong.

CHEATERS! Amazed how everyone is shamelessly copying my designs right from the beginning.  Angry

You have to work for hours to generate a single original design, it hurts to see people stealing your art. An artist's creation is like his baby.
Only if you create an artwork from scratch, will you realize the pain.

You are funny, that reminds me of a quote from Picasso.

"Good artists copy, great artists steal." - Picasso

Sorry for OT.

Best regards

I'm sorry but I've been backing out of this contest because of how childish this has gotten, I get that your not happy about using stock images and ideas being copied but that's just not the way to act in this kind of environment. This kind of thing brings down the community and makes the whole place look childish and unprofessional.

Just a note to some of you more recent entries - the OP specifically stated a few pages back that he doesn't want a logo with stacked elements, i.e. he prefers imagery and text to both be on a single line.

You should also make a logo with a transparent background. That way it works on the site as well. Other than that, it looks beautiful!

Appreciate the feedback! I'm presenting it with a background as the background for bitcointalk.org is white, and so is some of my design.
So it'd be hard to see. It would be transparent if it was chosen, and would match it up accordingly with the website it'd be used for, of course!

Thank you for the continued entries. A lot of talent for sure. Currently though Ajax's design as seen on the tshirt in our main post so far fits what we want the site to look like; of course based on what we have seen thus far off entries.
