The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Bitmain, 200 GH/s, $4000, 400 watts, already in stock and available for immediately delivery. BFL, 250 GH/s, $12000, 1200+ watts, might be delivered next month.
I think the choice is quite clear.

Should've been 3-4k to at least compete with their upcoming products. You do get it first but it's old and inefficient, so in total perhaps just a small premium over 28nm (per GH).

If BitMain can keep up with the AntMiner orders this is shockingly overpriced. However, say what you will, BFL is quickly delivering new Single orders. I bought two during the Black Friday sale and got them in 6 days during a holiday week. So you probably won't have to wait a year or longer for these, lol. Also Bitfury is selling 250-300GH from stock for $7500... so there's that.
