I registered mainly because I am willing to participate in the discussion on various coins (trade-related). Other than that I'm contemplating offering various services and goods which can be bought with a number of different cryptocurrencies.

Came primarily to introduce my alt-Coin Sollars and Sense to the community and get feedback on what we are doing at Sollywood. In my opinion its pretty unique and epic stuff but I always like to hear what others have to say.

I think that sounds like a good idea it's not super different but it's not any less different than any other altcoin

What do Sollars and Sense do?

Thanks for the reply Bitcoin-hotep. I'm taking you read my "Greetings From Sollywood" post. I appreciate it! For others, Sollars and Sense are the key behind disrupting an entrenched industry. Mainly Hollywood and Television. I'm a filmmaker and that is where this currency will start.

In the short term I think it will be a much much better marketing play than BitCoin for adoption in my industry and here in America. Simplicity beats complexity. We have that advantage. Especially when there is no learning curve (1 to 1 to the American Dollar), and the means of obtaining it are as simple as buying gift cards and game currencies (in the short term). The majority of people will flock behind that. Just go out and ask them as a thought experiment.

Now...

What will it become in the long-term? That I cannot fully divulge at this time. But I will say this. I have a fundamentally different philosophy behind starting a currency. One that is more closer to a Reserve style issuing and banking with a bunch of smart twists... #Makes$ense

Many forget that there are numerous advantages to Fiat style systems. The problem was never Fiat, it was Monopolizing to be the only game in town. Ask Abraham Lincoln and his Greenbacks or FA Hayek and his DeNationalization of Money. Hayek put it best. We need a market where there is a number of competing Private and or now autonomous currencies and virtual commodity networks. Let Consumers and Merchants decide what they will use.

Technology wise- Sollars and Sense unlike BitCoin will be a mixture between proprietary, APIs and open sourced components. Basically we are a true opposite to BitCoin in philosophy and technology. Other Alt-coins are iterations... I think Americans will come to see BitCoin as SmartGold, and Sollars and Sense as SmartFiat. That's the best way to put what I believe will happen. And the People's opinions do count.

You should look into the devcoin model Using that you could make it where your coin directly funds the creation of films
