Estcoin - nation states backed cryptocurrencies

You have probably heard that Estonia is planning to launch Estcoin, the state backed cryptocurrency. However Estonia faces quite bsignificant resistance from European Union Central Bank that claims that there should be no oalternative currencies in Europe, and that they have already official European currency-Euro. What is in your opinion the future of this kind of currencies? Do you think that EU regulation bodies will ban any attempt of nation back cryptocurrency creation?

I think Estcoin has no future even if it is a state backed cryptocurrency if Europe would allow it. EU regulation bodies will ban any attempt of a nation backed crypto creation so long as it is made in countries that are a part of the Europe region, and Estonia is no exemption. I would like to see how they will fare and get past the regulation stage though(if they will).
