I've had a lot of trouble getting some boards to recognize 4 cards. It's hard to say. Extenders can also be tricky, especially the 1x ones like that.

I usually go with a ASRock 970 EXTREME4
with three normal extenders and one 12 inch 1xto16x.

asrock extreme 3 works too and is much cheaper. I run a mix of both boards, the 4 does have a nice power switch on it though which is handy.

the 36-bit is just jargon. doesnt mean anything, doesn't apply to the riser. It will work, but you will need to file the short side to be open ended to allow the 16x width gpu to physically plug in.

They will work.

However, 1 pin to 16 pin PCIe cables are nicer since you don't have to file it. They are usually only a few bucks more. And you might want to look into power cables. Supposedly having a bunch of cards on your motherboard draws too much power from it. If you are using a bunch of cards its best to use powered cables.
