Apple's closed approach with iOS is the reason they will fail to grow, and continue to lose market share to Android
Personally I love Apple's design and style but I wont give them my money if they treat me like a child

Apple is a dinosaur that will be left in the dust. People are tired of closed systems.

The AAPL price is drained already due to the light has run out. It is not only just bitcoin regardless the policy defined. I personally try not to get more apple mobile products unless it is the must.
Why google price stays 900 usd+? There are three main reasons 1. bitcoin 2. cheap phones with strong functions 3. Searching service is still the fastest.

I thought Google Adwords generated some astronomical percentage of Google's profits, like 90%. Maybe my memory's off.

Lame speculation, Apple themselves have clearly mentioned that they will not allow it until there is regulatory clarity.
as i understand Apple has had and Anti Bitcoin stance and therefore the Bitcoin/Crypto community are boycotting Apple regulations are coming though at all times the CCCB will maintain perfect clarity

There are bitcoin application in the store that have been left untouched. It's the Coinbase one that started all this madness. And you're better with Android , the free market? Do you remember what were the latest major news about an Android app? They were far worse that what Mapple did!

It is funny that you think google would not be as restrictive - if they feel they can do it without losing market share.
Look at what they're doing on youtube now. It was all free and easy on the way up, now it is dominant - and suddenly they iron fist comes out.
What keeps these companies honest is several market leaders fighting each other to please us, not lemmings running to one platform.
any app that threatens the google business model will not be allowed on android, if not now, then later, after you have nowhere else to go.

The crucial difference is that if an app in not allowed in the Play Store / Android Market it can still be installed on Android because Android allows for installation of Apps from outside the Play Store / Android Market. The censorship in the Apple case arises not because of the policies of the iTunes store but rather because IOS only allows for installation of apps from the ITunes store. The restriction in IOS of only allowing applications from the ITunes store to be installed on IOS means that in many cases Apple is always in the wrong regardless of whether they allow or not allow an app in the iTunes store. The same situation arises with Windows 8 RT and its restriction of only allowing apps from the Microsoft store. Edit: The one sure way to prevent this kind of censorship is an operating system that contains GPL v3 code, because if a vendor tried to restrict what apps can be installed on such an OS they would be liable to copyright infringement. This is why GNU/Linux is currently the best option for an OS.

I want to get rid of my iphone. What do people suggest as a replacement? I Was a bug Nokia fan back in the day, but haven't had one for years.
Try a Lumia if you're after a Nokia. Do they have roughly the same features as the iPhones? I do like the look of them: Does anybody have any experience of Lumias, and how do they compare to the iphone?

What does it fall behind on? What are the advantages of an android OS? 1) The ability to install applications without having first to get the permission of some company 2) It is Free Libre Open Source Software

Apple cannot introduce a backdoor for the NSA like it did to it's iOS system.
If Apple cannot control Bitcoin, it will not allow Bitcoin.
It's that simple.

What was wrong with it exactly? I've only seen videos of the OS but it looks ok to me. So are you saying Android is the way to go?

Right now I would say Android. The other option is to wait for Ubuntu Phone OS http://www.ubuntu.com/phone. Since Ubuntu Phone OS contains third party GPL V3 code it will be impossible to lockdown and censor applications like Apple's IOS or Microsoft's Windows phone. As to what is wrong with Microsoft phone OS, it basically has the same problem as Windows 8 RT. OS lockdown and application censorship enforced by DRM.
