Has support for watch-only addresses been addressed yet? I read something in another topic saying that etotheipi wanted to get a good system in place for adding this first. I just want to be able to have a monitor on my online Armory for my deep cold storage items (paper walllets, Casascius coins/bars, etc.). I have these addresses bookmarked on blockchaininfo, but I want something I don't have to go to another party to see and something which is updated as my bitcoind is updated. Thanks.

I don't believe it's implemented, but, it's something I'd like, not even just to monitor my cold storage ones, but, to monitor other's. Mwuahaha, haha, ahhh....

Please ask for a signed message from my on-site Bitcoin address (Check my profile) before doing any offsite trades with me.

you might have to wait for armory supernode version. Then you will be able to watch addresses without rescan. So you will be able to to everything you can on blockchain.info without publishing that anyone shows interesst in address or transaction xy.

Synchronization servers and lite-nodes will cover that use case.

I don't care about the rescan as much as just having the ability to monitor my cold storage.

I want it all locally on my machine so that I'm not dependent on blockchain.info

Thanks, that's a nice service, but again, I want it locally. I'm hoping that etothepi responds here eventually.

Is there any security threat if one was to import their watch only wallet onto blockchain.info? or say a website such as btcbalance.net? I know that the watch only wallet doesn't contain any private keys but just wanted to be extra safe.
