Anyway I'm satisfied with what I have.Dogecoin can be mined using my laptop. So it's better to mine altcoins and see what happens than doing nothing at all.I am being very optimistic and hope it pays off. Smiley

May be it's a joke but in that sense, this life itself is a joke. Smiley So chill. Wink

Its just a joke coin but since the joke is already popular and has become a coin its sparked a lot of interest and why shouldn't it?

http://doge.scryptpools.com is under maintenance. The pool op is very new to operating a pool and also was the first pool to go up, so everyone jumped on it, thus the stability issues. That being said, the op seems very committed to making things work and even said he wanted to make it the best pool. I am almost completely positive in saying that he won't run off with everyone's coins/flake.

As scryptpools is under maintenance and its stability has been super wack, I switched over to http://pool.testserverino.de as did a lot of other scryptpool miners around the same time. Runs well. Haven't had any issues. Haven't done a payout myself, but have heard that others have and that they been quick and reliable.

as for market rate, its generally accepted to be 10k DOGE per USD. That being said, the dealings have been all over the place. Really nuts exchanging.

Here you can find MORT432's market evaluation (hasn't been updated for a day now): http://doges.org/index.php?topic=89.0

Also, keep an eye on: http://doges.org/index.php?topic=216.msg1002#msg1002 .
GoodDoge exchange was the first to go up, but MORT432 was initially trying to process transactions live manually (not the way to go about things especially since DOGEcoin popularity is skyrocketing) so he had to close it down. It'll be back up soon, MORT432 is working with a coder to make the transactions automated.

As mentioned before, CoinedUP has also joined in the fun: https://coinedup.com/OrderBook?market=DOGE&base=BTC
Worth knowing, here's the Reddit post for the CoinedUP link: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemarket/comments/1spbn2/coinedupcom_now_supports_dogebtx_exchange/
From the posts there, it seems it went down about an hour ago, might still be down.

Lastly, for exchanges: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemarket
for DOGEcoin news and fun: http://www.reddit.com/r/Dogecoin
And the offical Dogecoin forums are here: http://www.doges.org

Much fun. such promising. very speculative. pls help. poor shibe. Doge only. DEKPPQBLH7eaFVHFJEPJtRLvyaqdKQ7Hz7 very thanks. such happy. wow.

Got into it too !!

Amazing to be a millionaire of something !

I agree with Idig4doge concerning the scrypt pool for Doge. It seems reliable. I've mined 700K+ coins there until 4pm. Though, after 4pm my "unconfirmed" earnings stopped showing even though I was hashing 1800 kh/s, and that before the pool went down for maintenance. I guess I 'm around 1million now, if it goes well with the pool

Wow, many fun

I got around a 600k payout from scryptpools a few hours ago but nothing since.  So, they are at least that legit.

I think dogecoin is funny and really did not expect to see it selling for actual BTC already, thought it was more of a joke but mined a bunch of it all the same.

Hopefully the "Joke" keeps going so these millions I've been mining actually pay off Cheesy

Let's just say he's mining doge 24/7 now.

So, I am mining with CGminer 3.5.0 (was using 3.7.2 but switched cause maybe that was problem.. it wasnt) , I have tried directing it at several pools, yet I get no doge.

CGminer says it is hashing

When I go to the Dashboard, it does not say I am mining, and it does not show my worker connected to ANY pools I have tried...

My transactions all say 0.000000000

I am trying poolerino now, but it doesnt look better... Where the hell is my hashing power going? I mined on a pool all night and got Nothing.. this is total crap.

can some good soul tell me what I am doing wrong?

I will award my first dogecoin payout to whoever is able to get me on track.

Those screenshots are kinda small, can't really tell what it says.

What does your cgminer .bat file look like?

You could try a p2pool, I've made a good amount from one, no need to sign up.

Just create a .bat file, put it in the same folder as cgminer.exe file, edit the bat file and put in:

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://pool.hostv.pl:9555/ -u DCMJJGBQPP9KGFvGuvac9DxrnFF5t1HLkb -p 123123 --intensity 13

The above is my bat file, replace my wallet address with yours, password doesn't matter. You can raise the intensity if you want, I'm usually at 18 when afk. Then you just save and run the bat file.

Sorry if I mentioned a bunch of stuff you already knew, it's hard to tell the experience of miners.

I have basically 0 experience with CGminer. Been using Bitminter for bitcoins, never had to mess with this stuff before.

I am using a CGminer.conf file in my cgminer directory. Im not sure how to make a .bat file.

I just restarted cgminer 3.5.0 with no .conf file and I input my info for poolerino by hand. I appear to be mining something, but the poolerino does not indicate that I am.

thanks
