MultiBit stuck on "Connecting..." after resuming from sleep-mode (Win7)

When I resume my computer from sleep-mode, MultiBit loses its sync with the network and the indicator in the bottom left just says "Connecting...". I have to restart the program and let it sync up again to be able to use it again.

I use the most recent version of MultiBit on Windows 7.

I am also suddenly stuck on "connecting" for about a day now. On Windows 7; I upgraded to the newest Multibit, but it made no difference.

I just deleted the "multibit.wallet" file but kept "multibit.key" file, and when I restarted the program it replayed the blockchain and became unstuck.
