Sadly I know someone that paid for a unit in the "Batch 4" (talking to random people on a PPCoin pool/site).  Also these machines should have already hit earlier customers yet nothing.  I doubt he is the only one... even if only three people actually sent them money that is a fat stash esp. considering that at most they invested a couple hundred into the site (probably a lot less).

Old thread is old...or ancient, even...last post almost has its anniversary!  But just to touch on this one as I'm working my through the list:
Plus their chip is a photo of the KnC 28nm with the logo photoshopped from it.
It's actually based on this image or a predecessor*: http://javier.esilicon.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/HFCBGA.jpg
From this page: http://javier.esilicon.com/page/3/
( Took me a bit to find that, reverse image search yielded nothing; 'bga chip bottom' with an additional yellow color filter was what popped it up right in the first screen of results. )

* What's funny is that that image has rather obvious signs of photoshoppery, and I can't decide if the failed scammers decided to smudge that out to make it less obvious (but thus introducing a different obviousness), or whether both worked from a different image that had a logo and both had to get rid of that somehow.  I'm leaning toward the former.

DBG: Did that someone ever receive anything (like a bicycle light, perhaps), or report the scam officially?
