Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Didn't anyone ever tell you not to post your private keys online? Your bitcoins could be stolen!

Someone could model a copy of your house key, have that key cut, then go to your house and steal your paper wallets.

There's a lot more to such thieving than unlocking a lock.. That's hardly the difficult part.
