I also just finally registered today, although I've been an active (but unregistered) reader for several months.

I've been buying and mining bitcoins for about 4 months now. Still kicking myself for not buying BTC back when I first learned about it in 2011. I think the price was around $10 then!

Looking forward to hopefully contributing to the discussions here. I've learned a lot from these forums.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hi all! I'm a newbie here as well. I've known about bitcoin for over a year and have seen the potential of it. Now i feel a bit late to the game but better late then never right! I was referred here by a fellow member. Anyways, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the details of mining and security so I'll be posting some embarassingly basic questions.

Hi!
I think there should be a thread and a support group for all those who didn't buy coins when they first heard about it. Remember how cheap they were back then?  But in case you think it's too late now beware! because it's not over and your despair will go up with coin value. exponentially. Now give me my right to post so I can get my free doge coins!

I'll reply here to say hello. Hoping to have some products to talk about in the new year.

Jarred.
