What is DataSaver?



DataSaver is a crowd-sourced database of shared (public and private) wireless (Wi-Fi) networks. The database is shared globally and can be accessed through the DataSaver Mobile Application, Website, or API.

What is DataSaverCoin?

DataSaverCoin will be the currency used on the DataSaver Network.
Coins are used:

• To reward the network owner for sharing a private network.
• To gain access to “paid” networks.
• To pay for enhanced speed.
• To pay for data caps if applicable.

There are Five Types of Coin Holders:
1. Investors: Bought coins from an exchange to sell at a later date.
2. Miners: Members of the community that dedicate their hardware to mine our cryptocurrency.
3. Clients: Users of the platform and network.
4. DataNodes: AAA servers. (*must hold 10,000 DSC coins)
5. Developers: The people that created and maintain this platform. Paid in
Bounties.

The previous blockchain was just for the devs to test. The premine was not set correctly and check points were not implemented on this version of the blockchain. We didn't plan to go live until  May 21st but when we announced the project, people started to mine the "test" network and even created pools for us. We were surprised to have this sort of interest prior to the launch date so we have decided to LAUNCH TODAY. We are currently live and on block 188. Please update your wallet with the newest code (found at https://github.com/DataSaverCoin/DSC)

We have checked our seed nodes, personal wallets, block explorer, and two pools are we all showing the same block.

Currently using the DataSaver android app you will not be able to lease out your network yet. You are only able to share for free and/or import other shared networks into your device. We have developed this coin as a form of payment that will be used in a future update of the app and DataSaver network. The best approach to leasing out your network would be to add a hardware device (such as a raspberry pi) to your network that will host your "splash page" (login page) and handle the Authentication, Authorization and Accounting "AAA" . We are calling these device DataNodes. You will be able to customize your splash page, and set up tiered packages for internet access. You can change things like bandwidth caps, throttling speeds, allotted time for access, price it costs(paid in DSC) for access, ban users and more. One of our goals is to enter the hospitality industries such as hotels. Currently hotels spend a lot of money leasing our their internet because they have to pay 3rd party companies to setup/maintain their AAA servers and another 3rd party company to process the transactions. (ElevenWireless is a good example) if we could eliminate even one of these we would be saving them a great deal of money per month.

Honestly I like the concept of this project. We could utilize our excess network or we can say renting it to everyone who are need to have more network speed.
And this thing will be manage by the DataSaver, this way we could get some DataSaver token for our saving, or perhaps we can used it to make a transaction
