Thanks! We're shooting now, the Kickstarter is an important part of our funding, as it creates a community of participants.

We are looking to be done shooting in a few months and then we'll complete post and get it out there. Hard to say the exact release date, but will post as I have info.

801 backers, very cool, very cool. i hope this film shows the positive side to crypto currency and not just the lawlessness happening with it, cause i think people have gotten the wrong idea about it which makes them slow to use it and then they are kicking themselves later.

Dude Alex that's awesome! I love Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey that is my favorite one! I always wanted to build a robot as a kid after seeing that movie. I can't wait to see your documentary when it comes out.

The only way to extricate it from that association is to confront the whole news explosion and pick it apart. I don't see any way around it. But the movie will definitely be separating Bitcoin from the black markets.

how do you make it into a movie? especially when it is so young and undeveloped...... its not like a movie about facebook where that had already taken such a huge share of web traffic, social media, culture...

Thanks for asking. The movie is about the origin and evolution of cryptography and the rise of the darknet. So it's not trying to tie a bow around Bitcoin, which will take years to assess properly, so much as thoroughly examine how we got to the place we currently find ourselves.
