Hi Guys!

I'm a newbie in this forum but have been trading with bitcoins for a while =) Anyway, I also run a store selling watches and just started to accept bitcoins as currency. So I have a few questions.

First of all, is there even any interest today from customers to pay with bitcoins?
How should I increase the customer stock from people buying bitcoins? Any site I should publish on and so on?
And last, I use bitpay.com as my checkout provider of bitcoins, any knowledge about them? I mean I use shopify.com and they recommend it so I suppose it should be safe, right?

Have a nice day and I hope the moderators don't take this as ads, if it is. Please delete it asap =)

Take care!

Hampus

EDIT: If someone want to check my store and if wanted give some critic(it's new and all the pictures is not made) please just visit, www.watchofe.com, www.watchofessence.com or www.watchofe.co.uk.

Yes BitPay is best. Try to get added to
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade
Hopefully you will get some sales

It'll barely increase your sales.

Hi, thanks a lot for the input! I'll look into the site closer to see how I can get my site published. Any idea how? or can I just add it like wikipedia?

EDIT: Nevermind, got it =)

I can answer some of these honestly.

First of all, is there even any interest today from customers to pay with bitcoins?
Yes there will be interest as an option, and will increase the possible traffic from bitcoin users and bring more advertising to your site as a lot of people are listing bitcoin retailers.

How should I increase the customer stock from people buying bitcoins? Any site I should publish on and so on?
Don't assume anything until numbers start coming in. General business practice. Just accepting bitcoin doesn't guarantee people want your products.

And last, I use bitpay.com as my checkout provider of bitcoins, any knowledge about them? I mean I use shopify.com and they recommend it so I suppose it should be safe, right?
Bitpay is reliable and safe as long as you keep your computer virus free and don't give any unneeded information.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the tips and answers. I was thinking about this people listing bitcoin retailers, any idea how I reach them? =) would be great to be able to get some attention to my online store Wink

About no guarantee of customers, of course i'm sure of that =) I will take it as it comes but would be nice with some extra sales at least, I can't and do not expect too much.

Bitpay runs a nice catalog of businesses accepting bitcoin. I guess your site should be already there.

I don't think it will dramatically increase the sales.

However, people might be more willing to buy them.

It might be easier for someone to buy something with btc than with hard cash.

You'll get some free exposure but don't think it will double your sales.
It depends also on your offer and prices.

I believe if you also add not only Bitcoin but all the other Cryptos listed in some of the exchanges to your site you could get a nice influx of customers because many people want to use their coins but don't know where to spend them. This will give you also free advertising as well as many people across the Net want to advertise sites that accept Crypto Currencies. Smiley

Yeah , and run 100 wallets for 1 sales / year.
Why do you think no real shop is accepting anything else than bitcoins?

Great! Thanks, good to know that I can be sure =)

Yes, and I'm happy as long as it can increase the traffic to the website=higher SEO=even higher traffic. Or yeah, thats the dream senario Wink

Hi, I think ill have to agree with stompix. To introduce a lot of different currencies just make it messed up, and what serious company can provide me a good payment getaway today except bitpay.com? Anyway I guess that in the future, we may have a much bigger market for virtual currencies  and then, yeah then we don't really know what will happen, but ill be ready for other coins! =)

So do you have any tips how to market heavy to bitcoiners? I'm making "normal" advertisement, but how do I reach that bitcoin market?=)

To market it "heavy" would mean to get same blogs that usually talk about  /promote bitcoin have an article about your website , or ads on blogs , forums bitcoin related. Of course this is paid advertising and I'm not sure it is worth it.

Well , this is an interesting idea , and I like one of those models.
But i would actually love to see one in either a video or in RL , cause pictures can be so deceiving.
