Kangaroos Those hats with corks on Sunshine Kylie Minogue Seriously though, what goods/items do you have that are native to Aus? Any specific foods or brands etc? Maybe you could offer CDs. I know there's a lot of good Australian bands around at the moment.

Hi

Cigarettes, there are a lot of people selling cigarettes and sending them to other countries to make money, because it is cheaper in OZ. Do a search of Cheap Cigarettes, you will see a lot of them are export from OZ.

At my work a 20 pack of winfield is AUD$18.50 (about $16.60 USD)! My MRS bought a carton of 160 longbeach smokes, and a 50g pack of winfield tabacco from the supermarket, and it was $150! cheap my skinny bum!

I know Macademia nuts are native to Australia, but I guess it's probably cheaper/easier to buy them from an existing importer.

I had similar problems to solve selling goods from South Africa. How about aboriginal art? Boomerangs and those musical instruments, didgeridoos I think? Could make nice curios. Otherwise, precious stones maybe. Especially if Oz has any special kinds. Those could work well, by themselves or as jewelery. I understand you have a lot of sheep. Wool clothing could work. Finally, Wikileaks Party memorabilia could be a real winner! Official shirts with "Vote Wikileaks"-style logos would be cool anywhere.

There is nothing such thing which can be available in australia and not other countries.
But i have a suggestion, why dont you make some unique stuff, and create a store and make money from worldwide sales.
Something like arts, crafts, or may be get cheap items from local stores, and sell in ebay, and ship worldwide.
I think thats the best way.
My suggestion is, may be start printing a fancy led shirt, which gives glow at the night time, and start selling the t-shirts.
Because at night times, it will be attractive. I am sure, you will get a lot of sales.

Would anyone be interested in 1Kg Koala, or Kookaburra silver for around $900 AU?

Of course there will be. There's always stuff that is only available in their specific native country or region.

Yeah, that's a point. They're ridiculously expensive here. Crappy, poorly-made boots too.

Yeah, that's a point. They're ridiculously expensive here. Crappy, poorly-made boots too. My mum bought some uggs and they fell apart after a few months. Dunno whether she got fake ones or not, but I often see women walking around with their boots looking like this:
