Put me down for 10 at the $15 ballpark... or 5 for the $20 ballpark.  I too would appreciate a PM notification of final price.

No reply as of yet. I've sent another email to the supplier.

The $15 ballpark was for the guy wanting to get 50 from me. Plenty of sellers have a higher or lower price depending on qty ordered. Prices aren't concrete though. I'll see what I can do. It all depends if I can order the damn things.

If you read the first post, I tell you where it ships from and if I ship internatiponally.

But I guess I'll spoon feed you. Ships from USA with free first class shipping for under 13 ounces, or free priority shipping for over 13 ounces. Express shipping is on your dollar. I would also ship internationally first class, priority, or express on your dollar as well (no free options).

No reply yet from supplier. Might be dodging me.

So where are you shipping from and will you ship to canada? Roll Eyes..... Kidding.

It's amazing how much you gotta spoon feed people, and that they still manage to find their pants in the morning Smiley

I'd be very interested in these, if you sold a number of USB cable length's as well would be a nice option.

I'd be in for 12 shipped to Canada

Okay a couple quick questions on possible issues:

Do we know how much power you can pull off the SATA power connectors?  Seems like this could very quickly turn into a bad idea as you probably should only have one or two cards connected to a single SATA lead cable coming off the PS.  As most PS' seem to have only two SATA power leads max this could mean anywhere from 2 to 4 cards maximum.  I guess you could go molex>sata with an additional adapter but it would be nice to know that upfront.  (I just am imagining some guy hooking up 4 SATA power leads to a single cable off the PS and then melting down the whole thing....)

Also, the USB is only for connector type not for signalling, but isn't there a maximum distance that can be utilized between the slot and the card?  I remember trying to combine two old riser cables together previously and it failing miserably...  Does the PCI bus have no issues with the longer signal once the riser is powered?

more Canadian interest here, curious of the limits to the number of GPU's.
I've read here that win8 supports up to 8 GPU's; Is linux perhaps able to offer more than 8?
(maybe BAMT?)

Your price point of $15-$20 for multiple units definitely beats alib@b@'s and ebay at $25-$27

I'm thinking about getting my feet wet, and going to gauge some interest purchasing some of these risers in bulk from chinese supplier. They are powered 1x -> 16x PCI-E risers, pluggable into either 1x or 16x width motherboard slots, utilizing a 30cm or 100cm long USB 3.0 cable for data transmission, which makes it physically very flexible, and a SATA power plug for dedicated power. The PCB has 2 caps for power filtering and allegedly has a built in PCI-E presence shorting, so it is guaranteed to get your card detected without inserting wires into PCI-E slots to get a graphics card to detect. These appear to be built with mining in mind. Actual usability of the card for mining is dependent on OS and drivers.

Post here if you're interested. I've already sent an email to the supplier about possible bulk interest of 100 risers. I am USA based. I would likely offer free First-Class or Priority shipping within the USA (Express on your dollar), and First Class / Priority / Express Int'l shipping on your dollar. Would accept BTC/LTC equivalents as payment, maybe USD methods as well, depending on your trust ratings/history. Ballparking $25 per riser, dependant on what sort of discount the supplier gives me, if any.

If your ever looking for someone to distribute them from inside the EU I am in the UK  shot me a pm if its something you need Smiley

I've gotten a reply from a second person in the same company. Unfortunately, due to excessive demand, they have increased their price by ~41%. My price will probably be around $18.50 to $22 each, depending on qty ordered. I know, it sucks, but it's supply/demand. I'll still be ordering a bunch, as powered risers are high in demand, and I'm sure all you GPU miners would love to snap them up.

Yeah, I'd still be in for 10-20 depending on how long they take. Thanks for the update.

I'll chime in since I own a bunch of these (been trying to get out of newbie status forever to post this)

Yes, they raised their prices.  Angry  Back a few weeks (around thanksgiving maybe) they were selling for 16.99. Shipping time was around 1 week (aka FAST!))
(original ebay posting: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-e-express-1X-to-16x-Riser-Extender-Card-with-molex-power-30CMS-USB-3-0-Cable-/221274169202?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3384f7df72&nma=true&si=nhlXtZ3hZrBDJqy8dnbDHuBYFqY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557)

Went back to look for more and now they are 30$.

They also have another variant of this that has the usb connect to the side of the pcie riser
 http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-e-express-1X-to-1X-16x-Riser-Extender-Card-with-extra-power-1M-USB-3-0-Cable-/321138325762?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac555f902&nma=true&si=nhlXtZ3hZrBDJqy8dnbDHuBYFqY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Finally, they also have an aliexpress site with lots of different pcie risers:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/PCI-e-riser-card/825827_251192645.html
they only have the pcie riser that mounts on teh side (not the top) of the riser.  I prefer the top as the side may be interferred with by stuff on the mobo.
I was never able to find the top connecting riser on aliexpress.  Also note that aliexpress sales often have bulk discount options.

From a use/review perspective, they are fairly nice.  I have one currently unused one (soon to be put to use however  Wink ) If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I can probably snap some pics if any one wants more info.

Oh one thing that tripped me up.  I thought the 16x riser part was going to be flat so that I can rest my card on the riser.  Nope.  It has what looks to be some foamish padding protecting the pcb and the power connector does not sit flush, so laying it on the 16x riser is mostly out of the question.

Also, the connector is a sata style power connector and not the 4 pin molex

Supplier has sent me a commercial invoice, requiring a bank wire. I'm a little scared/sketchy at this point, since bank wire is point of no return, and impossible to chargeback..

It's going to be 3 grand out of my pocket.

Don't do it unless they have a realy good and long reputation. I've been stung for thousands by fraudulent chinese companies taking bank wires and shipping fake or even empty boxes. And trust me there is NOBODY in China interested in helping a decadent westerner get justice!

I agree, don't do it.

And since at $20, most (including me) wouldn't have a lot of interest.
