No, one of the main goals of Procurean network is to remove trade barriers between participating businesses and lower transaction costs to a minimum. Procurean will generate and exchange documents in accordance with GS1 standards between participating parties. Businesses can choose to exchange paper documents additionally, but this won't be needed. Document storage will also be reinforced with blockchain technology.

That's a great news. The documentation often requires a whole department of workers, and it's too heavy for the small companies to handle.

How does the guarantee work in this concept?

The guaranteeing business gives a time-constrained guarantee to the asking business by staking its own trust rank. The given guarantee is fueled by tokens provided by the requesting party and issued on the Procurean network with a smart contract. All changes (positive or negative) to the trust rank of the requesting business are immediately reflected in the trust rank of the guaranteer for the remaining time, and the reward pool of tokens is redistributed to the guaranteer at the end of the guarantee period.

It's basically trust rank sharing for a certain period of time used by new businesses to enhance their trust rank.

How are you going to attract new companies in the network?

Hi!
Initially, the existing Gepom users will be the first invited to join the platform. Furthermore, registered alpha version users will be invited to join the platform as well. Procurean platform is free to use for buyers in general and sellers pay a very small fee relative to the inquiry worth for each bid they place. Benefits are much larger than costs when using our platform so it doesn't make much economic sense fot them not to join. Also larger enterprises (businesses that we sell to door-to-door or through our EPR partners), who decide to use the platform, bring with them a large pool of their existing vendors that get onboard. There is a big incentive for buyers to start using Procurean, because automating and optimizing non-optimized procurement can result in lower procurement costs (up to 30% on non-optimized purchases) and lower transaction costs (up to 90% by automating human work).
