P2P Bitcoin Exchange

I have 0 expertise and I'm sure someone is working on this already but here's the idea:

A peer-to-peer bitcoin exchange website that is maintained by users' computers and they get the transaction fees. Similar in idea to how bitcoin is maintained and mined.

I think there is already a project being developed around this, but I think it's not ready yet. If I remember more about it I'll post it here.
