By the way, is anyone having issues with http://mol.mine-pool.net/ ? As of 8am EST, I stopped getting payments, even though I have about 4 PCs on it,  and was getting paid about 3-10 MOQ per block.. Restarted client and miners, and nothing is happening.

The same thing happened to me yesterday afternoon.  I switched to http://mol.forkpool.com and am getting steady payouts.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I switched there, but have not seen any payouts yet.. How long does it take?

I thought I read somewhere that it was PPLNS, so it might take a bit for the payments to ramp up.  You should still be able to see your address on http://mol.forkpool.com:8372/static/payouts.html fairly quickly.

I've got like 5 to 7 payouts (each 60MOL~) in one hour. How many payouts have you got in 1h on mine-pool.net? More or less ofc

About 1 payout every 2 minutes. The payout itself is varying a huge amount since the hash rate of the pool ramped up as high as 500MH/s. That seems to have dropped now back to 200 MH/s.

Looks like there was a problem with the pool overnight for ~2.5 hours (for my timezone) but receiving steady payouts now.

This is a completely dead alt right?

Based on the estimates on http://mol.mine-pool.net/ the hash rate of the network is somewhere around 800 MH/s.

I'd say it's far from dead.

Just a quick update:

We're almost to 4,000 wallet downloads now, with over 600 today.  That's awesome.

We also now have a Twitter and a Reddit (big thanks to megadex):

https://twitter.com/MoleculeCoin
http://www.reddit.com/r/moleculecoin/

A recap of a few things that make Molecule unique:

* It is not a coin with inflation.  Quark will inflate at 1% per year.  Molecule has a capped max money and will not inflate.
* Smaller total coins than QRK, at 200M as opposed to ~247M.
* No pre-mined coins
* PoW algorithm that doesn't favor ASICs or GPUs
* Way cool branding :-)

How to mine Molecules using Digitalocean Cloud VPS
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=377404.0

I have a simpler method

Create the vps and

wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/28oj1z7kd4ixelw/installm.sh
chmod 777 ./installm.sh
sudo ./installm.sh
cd quarkcoin-cpuminer-master
sudo ./minerd -a quark -t 8 -o http://mol.mine-pool.net:9372 -u JtRazZFh5vbV5uLMYP4Mxh6i18L4LmBkro -p xxx

The script will install and configure all can thank me if you want to give myself bitcoins, quarks to the direction of my signature or molecules to the address above.

You forgot Screen or Tmux/Byobu or whatever, people gonna run it and close it and their miner will be stopped.
