Anyone Try Selling Bitcoin on eBay?

I sold about some BTC on eBay while the prices were around $950 / BTC I was selling 0.01 BTC for $16 and 0.033 BTC for $50.  There was a lot of interest, and I sold about 0.15 total. 

The problem with it is that Bitcoin is like a magnet for thieves.  It turned out that 2 of the buyers had access to hacked accounts, and bought under false pretenses. Needless to say, eBay made me refund the money for those purchases.

I was thinking next time I try that to require the purchaser to email me a scan of one of their household bills to prove their identity before I send the Bitcoins.

Looks like face to face via say localbitcoins is the only way to reliably do this

Never sell BTC with PP or any other option that can be reversed if the buyer is a scammer.
Go for cash on localbitcoins or a trusted exchanger.

Don't you think it was fishy in the first place that they payed almost double for it?

You can try it but these can easily be faked. Maybe try sell paper wallets and only send them to a verified address with tracked shipping, if you are going to sell on ebay, but it's probably not worth the hassle.
