Sorry mate but very few people would be willing to trade 3K via Paypal as in all likelihood you'll just chargeback and run with the BTC. Another issue is your new account with no trust whatsoever, so I'd advise you that this does look like another scam.

I wouldn't chargeback as long as I received what I paid for, but I understand the fear.  The bad people make things alot more difficult for the honest trader.  I just had hoped someone would come through. BTC-e is holding my btc and  are making me wait 3 days to withdraw it, and I need to make a purchase now.  I also hope that my request, even if unanswered, doesn't put question to me in the future.

I would prefer to do that, but it takes 3 business days to withdraw from paypal, and all of my btc is on lockdown at btc-e for 3 days

Possibly.  I have had one individual offer to sell me 1.5btc, but they have a very low post count.  Am I at risk at all by using paypal?

I know 3 days isn't very long, but I wanted to get in on a group buy that I am sure will be sold out in 3 days.

Also I am furious at btc-e, those fuckers caused this problem in the first place, I should have just got on here.  Surely I could have found someone trusted to trade ltc for btc, but I though btc-e would be faster and easier.  Instant they said......

Well you put yourself at risk if you agree to go first and they don't send. Then your forced into charging back which although it should go your way can always be a risk, personally I wouldn't take it as the person probably has no trust, but if you think you can chargeback safely if something does go wrong then you might opt otherwise.

Its against paypal's T&C, and you could dispute the transaction. Nobody is going to risk it, sorry. Find another way to get your coins.

I had 5 people reply via pm, I am very uneasy about it.  Paypal has a no refunds on intangible items policy.  I have a paypal balance from selling items, and that is what I wanted to use to purchase the btc.  I know if I got screwed and used my debit card/credit card via paypal I could just call the card company and it is no big deal, but I am unsure how it would work with the intangible goods policy and paypal funds.  BTC-E unlocked my account today anyway, and the group buy I wanted to get in on is now closed, so the whole thing is moot now, however what is the easiest ways to purchase btc in the future?  I looked around on local bitcoin, but the rates are higher than gox or coinbase.

4.25BTC sounds like you want buy antminer, there is a new group for another 150 or more units.

I am located in Nebraska,  That is good that they are doing another groupbuy, I will have to get on that.  I have the btc for it now.  I have been using my gpu to mine litecoins and had accumulated a qty of them.  I decided I wanted to buy an antminer so I used btc-e to exchange them.  Btc-e changed out my ltc for btc but wouldn't let me withdraw them for 3 days, and I was sure the group buy would run out of stock before they unlocked my btc.  Paypal is the only way I knew of to transfer money online and quickly(besides btc of course) so I was low on options.

I looked at the local option, the closed person to me is 140 miles.(we are kind of spread out over here) and he wanted 15% more than gox.

paypal does also not deal with bitcoins. you can have your account shut down. use bitstamp or gox or coinbase or btc-e
