how to most effciently reduce noise?

The goal is to continue mining in summer while keeping noise low. Currently using claymore on ethOs to mine ETH.
I wanted to ask ideas how I can keep the low fan speed.

Reduce heat around the rigs. i.e. exhaust the hot air and maintain good airflow.

Thanks for response.  I tried Monero but it didn't bring down power by much. Ideally I will like to keep the fan as low as possible. Any other suggestions on coin?

Turn your stuff off.  Noise will stop.

this is one of advantages:
 2. low fee for electricity
 3. plenty space for rigs
employ people and reduce unemployment.

The question was essentially to be able to do as home miner. Not everyone has capacity to do it at industrial level.

Venting with external silent fans and fresh air is a solution.

If outside temperature is high, you may use "ttli" in claymore to set a much more lower temperature but you will have reduced hashrate because of claymore limiting the work load.

In windows, afterburner is also a good solution.

I already started to split the rigs into smaller and trying to keep them 6 inches apart.

So I am running 60 x 1070 in a garage. 10 Rigs buzzing away. The problem I have is that my house is a two storage and that my main bedroom is above my garage. So the vent of my rigs is just below my main bedroom window! Also, there is a door between my garage and my living room. So I had a reel problem with noise.

What helped a lot is getting low noise duct fans like this http://a.co/d3GECHW.  I got 6. You can also get silencers. I was planning on but turn out i did not need it. The 6 duct fans suck air from the rigs and blow it out a window via duct tubing.

Also what really helped is to make sure the rigs are low, close to the ground and that the duct fans take the air from the ceiling or the top rigs. I have two pillars of rigs with 5 rigs on each side. The top 2 rigs on a side air get sucked into the duct fans and the other two intakes are close to the ceiling.

Next problem I had was vibrations. I solved that by placing each rig on a rubber mat and the fans that push air through also on foam pads. I have fans pushing are thought the GPUs rigs all in the same direction.

What I did was a total overkill. I am running the duct fans at min power and the garage is never above +5c ambient. It is winter now so the out sid temp is 10-20c and my fans on the gpus are never above 50%. In summer it got over 30C outside and i never had a problem with heat in the garage

The rigs are open airframes and they are a bit wider than normal. so I have more space between the GPUs that really brings down the heat alot! All the cards are pointing to the windows with the duct fans sucking on that side.

I have a 160w extractor fan that is ready hanging in front to the window but, I don't need it any more sins I got the duct fans.

I have a much smaller setup of 21 GPUs. I am using them in an apartment room that I don't use. I keep all windows open in that room. Winter is fine but summer it will be a problem.

yeah summer is becoming a problem for mining rigs i think a little hard to reduce the noise unless you lower the fan settings of each card but that isn't a good solution and it can raise the temperature.

It looks like an impossible mission to make all rigs fully work and lower the temperature/ fan speed.
As suggested, you should put your rigs in some special place.

That's how I keep my 3 Reference R9 290 cards completely silent. I have this rig next to my bed and can sleep in a nice silence . Also, a total of 700mm of radiator cools the cards pretty well.

Radiators are outside so all excess heat will be dumped outside and not to my bedroom

Noise you mean, may be noise sourced from the system
cooling mining device.
This cooling is considered an important component in the
mining device. And in practice it will also consume energy
electricity. If not use it, then certainly be
resulting in damage to the mining device being used.

The use of cooling certainly takes into account the scale of mining,
whether mining a hobby, small, medium or large. Which of course
involves how much space is needed and how much cooler used.

In general to minimize noise and increase efficient of mining coin, which is usually a concern
+ Design The location of hardware on the rack and room should efficient.
+ Selecting a low power requirement cooling device.
+ Using Low noise cooling fan i.e watercooling.
+ Avoiding overclocked over on device mining.
+ Choosing an algorithm that computation time is short and not complex,
such as XMR with the CryptoNote algorithm, using the least power.
This is important because the coin and the different algorithms (such as Ethash
Dagger Hashimoto and Equihash) requires different mining device and electricity needs.
It's just my advice, hope it helps.

Functionally i understand but i have a bit question i see the GPUs casing opened, Whether more dust when compared to not opening the casing?.
