It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

the cost goes down and this is natural, since it was artificially raised by masternodes. Not only has a new type of master node been added recently, the most expensive. Of course all for the sake of growth in the value of the coin. But masternodes are evil. They do not fulfill their real purpose. In addition, the current cost of hosting exceeds the cost of classical hosting with tens or even hundreds of times. However, there is no acceptable software to use. I am very sympathetic to this project, but it is overrated at times. In addition, there is a strong competitor FALCON from the official team of developers IPFS. I suggest that connoisseurs of the ideology of web 3.0 to look at the project mix-the blockchain. The same technology, but to create a social platform for publishing content. The audience of the project will be multimillion. Already is alpha testing, download https://github.com/mix-blockchain/mix-acuity/releases/tag/v0.1.22

It is time for development update #2

We've been working really hard on a few things:

1.) The new Decentralized Node Protocol, We've recently put it onto a testnet and have been running different scenarios on it ie: 51% attacking the testnet, registering multiple nodes from one IP/Wallet as well as a couple others. I'm very pleased to say we've identified and corrected most of the bugs in the system but there are still a few to work out before this goes live on ETHO.

2.) ethoFS upgrades, we've made some upgrades to the ethoFS back-end to help with the current high Data usage we have when uploading to ethoFS, this comes as part of the solution to an overall reduction in data consumption on Gateway nodes by ethoFS.

3.) We're getting pretty close to having ethoFS enabled Master & Service Nodes ready for beta testing however for the time being our main focus is on the Node Protocol so whilst we're in the process of rolling out & developing the node protocol ethoFS enabled Master & Service Nodes has taken a back seat.

4.) Governance, We've also been reading over feedback supplied by the community on governance and working with it to create the governance system and platform however just like ethoFS enabled Master & Service Nodes this has taken a back-seat to the node protocol.

Side note:

The node protocol removes all the centralized aspects of node deployment and payments this allows us to hand over the keys to the new governance committee and know they will not have to worry about maintaining the payment module & node dashboard as the node protocol runs a stand-alone application on your node to deploy, track and run node systems.

We also have a bunch of new and exciting developments which will be released in tandem to the node protocol, They're not quite ready yet but we will be sure to let you know when they are.

I'm also happy to announce we have been listed on https://tradecx.io/ - Trading is live.

Our pools have already found more than 2.5M blocks!

Solo Mining Pool for Ether-1 - https://etho.solopool.org/

  • The block reward goes to the miner who found it
  • Full stats with charts, rewards and earnings
  • Telegram bot (notifications of new blocks and rigs status)
  • Stable payments
  • Support NiceHash (special port)
  • Support MiningRigRentals
  • Real servers with great ping
  • DDOS protection

Welcome Wink

why do not you specify how much commission you charge for mining on the pool? or is it a commercial secret that cannot be made public?
for many miners this percentage is very important.

Today we have some very exciting news, regarding the Ether-1 project as well as ethoFS since it quite a long announcement we've posted into Medium which is available here: https://medium.com/@Ether1Official/xerom-decentralized-by-nature-c3ef0383d683.

The summarised version is as follows:

Ether-1 is all about decentralization, if a decentralized hosting platform is our goal, we should not centralize to one chain, with this in mind it brings me great Pleasure to announce Xerom ($XERO).

Xerom is a rapid development chain where node improvements (and other proposed changes) will be production tested before being rolled into Ether-1.  Both chains will work with and support the global ethoFS network of redundant content delivery nodes. Xerom will be the first chain using our brand new decentralized node protocol.

Those who prefer carefully tested changes can watch Xerom to see how the new features are functioning and use Ether-1; those who prefer to live on the bleeding edge and have access to the latest features can use Xerom/XERO.  To that end, it’s worth mentioning that Ether-1 will continue as the primary project.

We want to include all existing ETHO holders in the creation of XERO as valued stakeholders, users and decision makers, therefore we will be transferring all user held wallet ETHO balances to XERO at a 1-to-2 ratio.  This means if you have 30,000 ETHO, you will receive 60,000 XERO.

Please direct any queries or questions you might have to @PROJECT MANAGER, we're extremely excited to hear everyone's feed back and in the Xerom discord available here: https://discord.gg/ZVb5Man.

Before announcing this to the larger community we want to collect your feedback & make any necessary changes to better suit everyone. As these things are released they will be announced in the Xerom Discord.

Thank you for the continued support and we look forward to making a better ecosystem for all of us.

Xerom Timeline
Here’s the timeline of events leading to the creation of Xerom:

Ether-1 chain snapshot at an unannounced time on June 20, 2019; this is done to ensure there is no manipulation to the snapshot (make sure to have your ETHO balance in your wallets to be included in 1:2 airdrop, no exchange balances will be credited).
Xerom launch on June 28, 2019
Xerom Nodes Version 1.0 will be activated at block 200,000.
Xerom Nodes Version 2.0 will ship at a later time with various ethoFS decentralized node improvements as described in https://medium.com/@Ether1Official/development-update-2019-05-29-ef11fe468465

An important clarification.
I'd like to make everyone aware of what was bought to my attention last night in regards to the XERO airdrop and hardware wallets. It's important to understand hardware wallets will receive the airdrop however that being said it requires Xerom to have an app for the HW Wallet (In some instances it can take multiple months for this to happen).

This being said: If you'd like immediate access to your XERO and you use a HW Wallet you'll need to move your coins off the HW Wallet into a wallet where you own the keystore or private key. If you don't mind wait for access to your coins then you can simply wait for the Xerom HW Wallet app to be released.

News from discord.

We'd like to remind @everyone the Xerom/$XERO snapshot will be happening sometime tomorrow!! :etho: :xerom: The successful snapshot creation will be announced on Twitter and Discord.

To be able to claim your XERO immediately after the new blockchain launch on June 28, you need to have your ETHO in a wallet where you control the private key. It doesn't matter how you access your ETHO as long as you have a copy of your private key OR UTC encrypted file information, ideally both. Make sure to have a good, securely stored backups of your wallets to address your disaster recovery scenario readiness. Hardware wallet users will need to wait a few months before they're able to access their XERO holdings for technical reasons. To receive your XERO immediately, transfer your hardware wallet balances briefly to desktop or mobile wallets for the snapshot.

Once the Xerom chain is launched and its web wallet and desktop wallet providing nodes are online, you can claim your XERO coins by using the same private key and/or UTC file + password as your ETHO account on the Xerom blockchain. We encourage ETHO users to move their XERO coins to brand new wallets with different UTC file passwords immediately after claiming their balances for security best practices.

Miners!  Make sure to stay tuned as the launch date approaches! Xerom will initially be mined just like Ether-1. Xerom pools will be listed for everyone just before the launch. If you're a POOL OPERATOR, submit the form below to be considered for launch: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1TDv77HWjp1GY5RlLBmRGgB25b9VCttGowRY1Gj2S64g

For more details about Xerom and its relationship with Ether-1, see this announcement: https://medium.com/@Ether1Official/xerom-decentralized-by-nature-c3ef0383d683
If you prefer your info in video format we have a couple of great, detailed community videos from @CryptoNuffe and @notyournormalminer

News from discord.

please be advised that Ether-1 node update codenamed Robin Hood will be activating at block 2,700,000. In order to continue being paid a block reward and being able to synchronize with the rest of the Ether-1 node network, make absolutely sure you update your nodes by the deadline. The Robin Hood hard fork activation block 2,700,000 will be in about 7-10 days.

Robin Hood contains upstream improvements, an updated monetary policy which slightly adjusts the block reward in favor of node holders as well as a mining difficulty adjustment which allows it to be adjusted lower.

New Node Software: https://github.com/Ether1Project/Ether1/releases/tag/1.2.0

Our Website is hosted on ethoFS - the downtime was probably due to upgrades we were doing on ethoFS
