And we have a winner! Two weeks ago we announced that Expanse is having an EXPEX contest. The prize is that one lucky project will receive one year of listing on our decentralized exchange at no cost. That is a $10,000 USD value.

We received hundreds of entries, and the winner of the free listing is the Ether-1 Project. The Ether-1 Project aims to completely disrupt how information is shared and controlled. It is a fully decentralized hosting platform that combines blockchain indexing technology and the IPFS protocol to deliver decentralized content on-demand. It utilizes the node network for storage and bandwidth, along with providing DDoS protection, censorship resistance and high reliability due to not having any single points of failure.
“We are thrilled to have won this listing and about the new exchange in general,” said Ether-1 Project Manager, Primate411.  “We need more exchanges like EXPEX to stop relying on huge exchanges that don’t have the users’ interests at heart.”

“We are happy to welcome ETHO to our impending trading platform,” said Christopher  Franko, Expanse CEO and Founder. “It is a real credit to the ETHO-1 community members, whose loyalty and support led to the win.”

Congratulations Ether-1, and welcome to the Expanse ecosystem via EXPEX!

Congratulations on winning Ether-1 !

At Ether-1 we take our motto of Decentralize Everything very seriously and today we have take yet another step towards making our motto a reality.

ethoFS is our primary product, but it is limited in the fact that the team hosts the server which runs the upload dashboard, so for our macOS users We present to you: How to host your very own ethoFS upload dashboard https://docs.ether1.org/ethofs/how-to-host-your-own-ethofs-dashboard-at-home-on-macos

Windows & linux guides will be released within the next week or so! NOTE: This is still a beta & will require further improvement. Please direct any feedback/bugs/glitches to #ethofs-beta (in the Ether-1 discord)

The Number 1 way to help this project is to participate in any way you feel comfortable in the Ether-1 ecosystem.  This means chatting on Discord/Telegram & posting on social media; it means helping with graphics, scripting and programming; it also means mining, running nodes and testing beta releases; it means helping figure out the best governance system; etc., etc.

If you see this message it means you have some stake in Ether-1, whether it's positive or negative. The lurkers who have a positive stake should know that the lurkers who have a negative stake are active and detracting as they're able to. This message is a call to the positive stake holders and newcomers.  The more you help us with anything at all related to the project, the more you help us build, the faster we will get to our goal to #DecentralizeEverything and anything related to the Ether-1 ecosystem.

Get more involved now, now's the time! For ideas on how to get involved join some ranks in #join-rank and we will tag you on Discord when your opinion or help is needed.

We want to create more awareness of why centralized masternode coins are bad for crypto and how we are different in our approach. To this end, we've published yet another Medium post describing how centralized masternode systems can be manipulated from inside and from outside. Masternode coins have gotten a bad reputation for many of the reasons outlined below but Ether-1 is different because we put decentralization above fancy features and transactions per second.

Is this another scamcoin/shitcoin?? I moved all my etho from the web wallet (a totally unsafe and hard to use wallet) to your windows desktop wallet. As soon as I put all my coins there..and started to mine on comining.io the wallet will not locate peers...I tried everything...redownloaded the wallet..allowed it through antivirus and defender...still won't work. Fix your shitty wallet. If not, I will move my hashpower and report your shitty coin every online forum I can..I'm just so tired of shitty scamcoins with teams who don't know how to run a simple mist clone wallet..my god. So stupid.

1250 ETHO/month for 30000 coin node.

We currently don't support Windows nodes due to instability and security problems when exposing it to the internet.
You will definitely need a fairly static IP address to run a node because all the checks rely on the IP address not changing.  You can certainly run on a changing IP address but you will need to redo the registration every time your IP address changes. I would not advise running the 30000 node on a consumer connection because of the high bandwidth utilization.
