My name is Ed, I am fairly new to bitcoin and am looking forward to learning and giving back what I learn. When first coming to this forum I did not see a tread to introduce myself, if I missed this i am sorry for starting a new one. I would be happy to hear from anyone and will be happy to share.
Thank you
Ed
Well, nice to meet you Ed. I have a few pointers about BTC. You can use various methods to get them, including mining for them (not recommended unless you have an ASIC.). You can also buy them, I recommend the site coinbase to buy them from, I've had good experiences from them. You can also go to bitcoin faucets to get small amounts that add up over time. You could also go to some sites that offer small amounts of bitcoins for watching videos or visiting websites. The most beneficial way I think to get bitcoin is to start small with the alt-coins like Dogecoin or Litecoin. You can get a litecoin a month with an Nvidia card that is at least a 570 or higher. AMD cards are better for mining, but NVIDIA is good with CUDAminer. I already mined 2.5k Dogecoin, and I am saving up to get Bitcoins. You should mine the smaller currencies if you want to at least have a chance of getting some bitcoin.
