Seems now we have GOOD luck Cheesy

At least I did 170000 in 15 hours. Thats my expected amount of DOGEs. Thank you, viatorek!

p.s. I spread my miners to 3001-3005 stratums.

Last 3 days I got only 40% of expected amount. But now it's ok. Seems to be fixed! Awesome support! We are again on the top!

Admin, how is the 8888 stratum? is it recommended to keep using it? we have many rigs and it is a pain to switch to new stratums

Can we still use 8888 Huh?
It seems to be working still.  let me know if we can keep using it.

I'm done with "centralized pool", I've made my "big leap" for p2pool. Smiley

I'm a small time miners, now with only 600ish KH/s, but i've 2 more 280x waiting to be setup.
I dedicated my time into mining only since a month ago.

I've been experimenting with quite some pools, about 5 or 6 famous one (you know which), pool hash rate ranging from few ten's to few hundreds of Mhash/s to 10's of GHash/s, each tested for about 3-4days average, mostly 'centralized pools'.

What I found out is that, no matter which pools i went, I always get less than what those online mining profit calculator say I will get with such and such hash rate. Its never over 60% mark, worst is less than half. This is bad, so i think something must be wrong. So I read a lot of guides and articles from a lot of places, and google, reddit, forum, blogs, etc... people always teaches how to tweak and tune cgminer setting and this and that. I've since learn a lot, thou I'm still noob compare to most. Even though I now close to perfect the tuning and tweaking, even Reject is only 1-2%, zero HW, WU around 92% Hashrate and so and so... I still get the same result. The ACTUAL MINING INCOME WILL ALWAYS BE LESS THAN 60% OF WHAT ONLINE CALCULATOR TELLS YOU if you insist on mining at the 'centralized pools'.

So, is the online calculators LYING TO US?? The answer is NO. Some people will say, its LUCK. Yeah...maybe...but I think my experiments tell me it is not. How can you consistently get such lower mining income if it is luck? and over a course of few days consistent 50% or less lower than normal? (ok you'll say, i need at least so much and so much data to proof my point whatever)

Then, I read from somewhere that, these centralized pools are skimming off us miners without us knowing it. Think about it, how can this be luck. I know some will counter me by saying, its impossible for all the pools to cheat, Especially the big pools. Well, I say anything is possible. The big bank are crooks, the big governments and big corporations are lying and spying at us. What is impossible? Nothing.

So, I've decided not to waste another month. eVEN THOUGH i HEARD A LOT OF BAD THING ABOUT P2POOLS. I now know that they are just people's misconception and misunderstood about how p2pools work. They say p2pools has very high reject/stale (10-20%), you don't get payout for days, payout has high variance, you just wasting your energy blah blah. I know, cause I've been there. I once tried p2pool, and i don't get paid right away so i quit, and return to centralized pools, again.

Once again I'm back into p2pool, I decided to stick to it this time. I now mine on p2pool. Guess what, on the very first day, I GET EXACTLY (well not exact) what the mining calculator says what I should earn +-10% (yeah +10%, even more sometime, NOW THATS IS WHAT YOU CALL LUCK!!) I've been mining on p2pool for some time now, about a week, I experienced highs and lows, overall you average out equal to what you supposed to get for your mining power.

So, I highly encourage you to try out p2pool. Its tough in the beginning, but the payout is worth it. My 1 week experience told me so. with all the pros that p2pools offer, instant payment, ddos proof, no worry of con and cheat, no account lock problems also Smiley etc etc. I think i'll never look back to centralized pools. Decentralize the mining and share your hashing power across the network, thats the way it should be, isn't crypto currency all about decentralization.

That's it for now i guess. sorry for my poor English and poor analysis. happy mining.

ps: pool operators, please don't blame me if i have awaken the mass. many will still be sleeping. Tongue

pps: my p2pool performance may not be your p2pool performance. various factors needs to be taken into consideration. cheers.

I've done close to 100 deposits on Cryptsty with Doge... longest I've ever had was about an hour to deposit. Going on 24 hours this time around.

Dogehouse says : Cryptsy broke their promise of resolving deposits/withdrawals again - so we are again warning you - stop using them until they fix their issues!

Update to that -- my test transactions cleared after about 48 hours. Which is not really acceptable.

Interesting post.

I have been getting 50-70% of what CoinWarz says the entire time I've been mining on two different Doge pools. I have literally never had a day at 100%. When I did Litecoin I was a bit closer (coinotron).

Interested in feedback from others on this subject.

@MegaKill

0.6mh is to slow for p2pool it will kill your rig with vardiff
vardiff is killing all proportional stats pools couse its showing stats for 16 share

p.s
think again how many blocks p2pool will find before block will get 1/2 reward?

Issue with your luck average stats that aren't accurate

Hey FastPool Op...firstly..love the pool..and want to say that your average luck for the day/week and so on IS MUCH better then what your site/stats post and I know why and its fixable and its something I'd fix if I were you because youvare losing out on MANY workers and more hashrate/donations due to this..

Basically the standard server software and its "zero variant" stats base the "expected shares" on the current difficulty and the pool hashrate vs network hashrate at the EXACT MOMENT of difficulty change...and stays there until next change and pools that fluctuate a lot or get good upswings like yours throw those stats off..because your expected shares will NOT change at all but the actual shares WILL as the rate goes up..making it (often but not always of course) that its taking much more then "expected" to find the blocks...

Your luck is NOT 135% average...I'm POSITIVE of this but it posts that regularly for 1 day and 1 week stats..in 130's%+ sometimes...over 1day to 1 week..this scares newcomers..

Some pools rework the code and make own algorithm or equation to basically take a roaming "average" of the pools hashrate over "x" time and over "x" difficulty to more accurately represent this..

I've done a lot of math and testing here and at other Doge pools at same times with 10-80mh worth of mining power...and not just for one or a few hours because that can be wildly inaccurate but over few day periods..where coin rewards average out to 480k-520k per block...and THIS POOL will net MORE coins 8 times out if 10!

Initially I thought Dogehouse had to be the likely winner for best payoffs with there 30% of the network...but they ARE NOT!..this pool SMOKES EM almost every time..their pplns system does something that lowers payouts typically below average..even when luck is 95%-105% over there with 500k avg per block..I typically (and many others who tested with me) will see 65-88% of expected payout based on specific or roaming estimates with current difficulty, stales n rejects etc...and this is with my personal mining at less then 1.6% rejects...but at yours 80%-110% payouts on expected all the time! Smiley
Now of course there are times at this and other pools where one can get much less or more then expected due to brief bad or good luck on block finds and rewards...but gotta go with the long term averages ..

Anyways just my two cents..wanted to pass this along as I have unfortunately communicated with several who opt to "stay away from fast pool" because they "believe" the pools luck is consistently too poor based on the stats they find on your block page on a regular basis when compared to others..sure your 1 hour is green and good from time to time but your 1 day/1week is practically always RED 110%-154%! When in reality its not that far off at all..

Anyways keep up the good work.
Cheers

PS..hope that newer splash page has helped you lately because I can only imagine that you must have been getting inundated with emails from people freaking out thinking there are issues cuz they can't get to the main site at that exact moment...I feel for ya...

THANK YOU!

yes we know it...stats are not for vardiff stratum (its for 16...and vardiff is 16,32 etc) ,thats why its so wrong...other pools edit it every 24h ...specially one...they take stats from fast-pool but they are 100% bigger
but i dont care anymore Smiley i hope dogepolis will be better in future

but
yes
i checked with may 10mh/s rigg all pools and
fast-pool is best Smiley
i know that i was support worker here...but its true.

and hey....check dogepolis.com it will be big too.

Who knows what's wrong with doges? Why it has so low position in coinwarz today?

I believe the block reward halved.
