I downloaded Namecoin QT to my laptop, which has Windows 7,  and it didn't show in my list of "all programs".  Luckily I saved a shortcut in the start menu. I can open the program and it updates like normal.

I also downloaded Quark QT to our old desktop which has has Windows XP, and for some strange reason it is not listed with "All Programs".  Unfortunately, I didn't save a shortcut to open Quark QT.  When I downloaded LTC and PPC, several months ago, they can be found under "All Programs" as the last programs I installed.

Are they doing something with QT programs now so that they do not show up under "All Programs" for security reasons or something?

A final question, does BTC QT take a lot longer to install then LTC QT?

Most cryptocoin programs do not use an installer (you simply unzip them and they work), and thus they won't appear on that list. Those which are installed through an installer do appear there.

Just launch the client again whenever you want.  Unless you delete the files, they're not going anywhere.

The only way that is going to happen is if you delete the wallet.dat file, which is hidden, and because your not very "good" ( im not cutting on you just so you know ) you will never find it to actually delete that file. Smiley So no worries it will be there.... your coins are safe.

now if you reinstall windows, well.... come here and ask how to back up your wallet before you do that.

So, I have to know where the unzipped files were saved to.  I'm away from the computer now (I travel all the time as a truck driver), is that usually easy to find out?

Mostly files you download using browsers will be stored default in "Downloads"  folder.
You can see that folder in my computer->left side under Favorites.
Or you can find that download folder here, C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Downloads
