The way Bitcoin is going, $1000 to $20,000 and then to $6,500 and all the bans worldwide and Bitcoin used in many kinds of criminal activities.
I will come back to Bitcoin after 2 to 5 years. If Bitcoin is there, it will go the silver way. Just as Silver was $80/ounce in 1980, Bitcoin can go back to $600.

If you come back to bitcoin in 5 years you most likely won’t even be able to afford to buy 0.05 bitcoin’s. With the next halving in 2020 plus the gradual increase in price due to new adopters if you’re leaving now you moght as well stay away because you’ll be kicking yourself. |

Why sell at a loss, can’t you wait 12 - 18 months & see what happens? I’m certain you’ll be in profit by then. Maybe I don't understand him well enough but I think he is saying that he bought them for $15,000 in total (when the price was $1,500 last year) and wants to sell only when the price of each bitcoin is $10,000. |

How much profit will he get if he sells 1 Bitcoin for $18,000 after 2 years ? Silver can be $60/ounce after 2 years from Syria and middle east situation. Now Silver is $17/ounce. 28 Israeli fighter jets fired missiles on Iranian targets in Syria yesterday. That's big. Look at all the other investments |

LOL. Oh boy this is the worst attempt of trolling or fear mongering I have ever seen here. Do you own any Bitcoin? If so, have you sold when you think going south is the only direction? Or even better? Have you opened a short if you are so convinced about that? I'm pretty sure you're just talking and therefore you don't have the balls to put your money where your mouth is. In 5 years from now on, that's my prediction, we will be close to the 2024 halving and already above $50k per Bitcoin! I'm conservative here! And have I put my money where my mouth is? Damn yes! I'm long! And not a small amount of money. Furthermore it seems to me very obvious that you did not even understand the simplest basics of Bitcoin or you haven studied them deep enough and why it will be so powerful within the next 5-10 years. Good call, regardless of your intention or feelings right now. I'm sure you'll be so happy to be proven wrong after five years when Bitcoin should be at least several times the value of today. You'd probably be better off than the majority of traders or speculators, I'd say. You'd get five years of quality time to work on your life and do your own thing, and come back after five years to enjoy a well-deserved bonus.
Trust me though, you'll want to come back again when your nostalgia for 10k and 20k returns before 2023!

The way you've been posting seems like you still don't believe in the potential of bitcoin despite the months since you joined the forum. You should know by know how bitcoin's price moves in the market and if you will stay away for 5 years in bitcoin, might as well buy a portion of it so in the end you will not regret and make another thread about your stupid decision. |

I think it's best to buy bitcoin now and then rediscover it after 5 years, because otherwise you might be really losing the opportunity. It is obvious from the history of bitcoin that the tendency is strongly upward even if we consider the current huge dip after ath we're still in. And I bet there's no chance bitcoin goes back to 400 dollars. During the time of rapid price falling, people were indeed hoping for it but the barrier of $6k was the limit of falling. People believe in blockchain and free market. As long as it's true, there won't be no really crazy price drops. |

If you would have studied Bitcoin's fundamentals and know at least the basics, you would also know that an acre of land will not rise exponential in value as Bitcoin probably will. It's not a question of if imo. It's just a question of when. And we are in the transition to the digital age. We left agrarian age long time ago.  By the way 3000 USD for one Bitcoin is nothing for the financial elites. A censorship resistent store of value with a finite amount and where 80% of all coins are already distributed! Boy they will buy like crazy. If you believe it or not. For a $600 per coin you will probably wait forever. |

I once legitimately tried to stay away from Bitcoin because I bought at X price to sell at Y price, but I just couldn't stay away with how everything in this market progresses. It just won't work. One way or another, you'll come back and start digging into crypto grounds because it's too interesting to pass on. Also, we don't very often get to experience a market like this where we are at the very start part of it, and that earlier than wall street and all other institutions. If we look back at how the market has gone up continuously, it's impossible for anyone to ignore it -- people either get involved now, or cry themselves to sleep when they realize how much of a perfect chance they missed.

Wrong move, why would you sell at loss and that's a lot. Are you really sure that you want to sell with high loss? I wouldn't do this thing until I recover my losses.
