This is going to be huge if it gains ground in India. In these developing countries, micropayments are all the rage and bitcoins are the perfect means of performing transactions of this nature. I think a similar phenomenon is going to happen in Africa eventually where people are in a similar style of situation.
I think Bitcoin could actually take-off faster in the developing world. A ridiculous amount of people cannot or do not even have access to a bank account, so all they would need would be a paper wallet, USB stick or a mobile phone or access to an internet cafe to make or receive payments. Bitcoin could be very useful to these people
Very true. Bitcoin is potentially huge for people without bank accounts. And to be honest, people in the developed world with bank accounts aren't doing that great with bitcoin. Banks are not lining up to love bitcoin.
Just depends on laws passed in places like India. Fingers crossed time.
