How is this a community? How this behaviour helps the development process?

The kicked guy asked a bitcoin related and development relevated question on #bitcoin-dev and gets kicked (+ stupid unfriendly answers).

I don't understand this. Do these guys have ego problems?

It looks like BlueMatt interpreted "wanna work on coinpunk" as him asking for developers for a project rather than explaining that he wanted to work on it.

netg also responded inappropriately:

Quote
01:17   netg   What's the best NodeJS-IDE for Mac?
01:19   warren   netg: how is this on topic for this channel?
01:20   netg   wanna work on coinpunk
01:21   netg   offical bitcoin foundation funded project
01:21   netg   is this channel only bitcoind and bitcoin-qt?
01:21   BlueMatt   netg: no advertising here
01:21   netg   what is wrong with you
01:21   netg   öol
01:22   netg   forget i
01:22   netg   t
01:22   netg   stupid#
01:22   Luke-Jr   BlueMatt: .
01:22   Luke-Jr   he was on topic kinda

He probably wouldn't have been banned if he hasn't spammed 5 lines afterwards. I still think the ban and initial response were unnecessary though.
